002 [Voice]

[He's using voice for this post, despite it being annoying, because geez people. All this concern and being nice and stuff. It's distracting, And he has something to suggest that deserves the attention much more.]

It seems several here are beginning to develop the new abilities we have been granted while here. However, in order to practice some, such as healing, a target subject is needed.

Coordinating individuals to practice together may be a worthwhile course of action. In particular, regarding those of you in Heimdall who have been given the power to absorb damage from others, it may be wise for us to practice on each other. Doing so on someone with the same abilities may allow us to learn faster.

[[ooc: Feel free to threadjack on this post in order to coordinate groups if you like!]]

It's a good idea in theory, but given that we have no idea what our powers could potentially be, we might discover what they are until the appropriate situation arrives to use them. ...Or until someone gets hurt. I've heard that Sigyn has Healing abilities, we should at least keep some of them close by.

[...pause.]

Sorry if I sound, ah, overly critical. It's a new world with a lot of questions and few straight answers.

Heimdall. I don't know what I can do, but I do at least know what it's like to suddenly find oneself with new abilities and no idea how to use them. I'd like to help, if I can.

...Yes. Even including the 'fight between gods' bit.

[she sighs in the way that one does when preparing to tell a long story, and one that is hard to believe]

My people were charged with guarding and caring for the Temple that imprisoned the god of darkness, Ahriman, for almost a thousand years. ...My father made a deal with Ahriman; to help each other. Ahriman would grant my father's wish if he set Ahriman free. I woke up with the powers of Ormazd, the god of light.

And my father kept his side of the promise. It was up to me to restore things, to put things as they were supposed to be. I was the only one who could.

Something that no one but a god can accomplish.

[she frowns at him, searching his face]

If I tell you, will you tell no one else?

[she doesn't particularly like the answer and her lips press together slightly to reflect that. but he seems level-headed and logical enough for her liking, and she likes that he's trying to analytically explore the world they now find themselves in, and gathering information. so she made a choice she hoped she wouldn't regret.]

I died. He prayed that Ahriman would bring me back, and in return my father would set him free. That's what happened. I came back, and had the gifts of Ormazd as a sort of awakening present.

[she just doesn't feel like people need to know. it doesn't matter. it was the past!!!]

Really? Some world you've got, then.

The gifts of Ormazd are...very specific. Very, very specific. There are power plates around my world that one can use for different effects to travel around our lands. So the powers don't work without the plates. And the plates don't work without the power. I also had the more general ability of healing and cleansing, which usually only worked on the land...
