[The video feed opens on a rather staged scene as Koizumi peers out the window, pointing it at the water in the streets, then smiles slightly at the bracelet.]
Good evening to everyone. I hope we're all doing all right despite the flooding. It's rather stagnant, isn't it? Those could be good conditions for mosquito breeding, so perhaps we'd better be careful to watch out for something like that.
Or perhaps the ecosystem here doesn't contain mosquitoes. Perhaps some of your worlds don't contain them either. If so, you might be lucky; it's been estimated that getting rid of certain breeds of mosquitoes might save as many as a million lives a year.
...But such subjects probably aren't interesting to everyone. The water's origin, on the other hand, is of more pressing concern. Where might it have originated? How far does it extend outside the city limits?
[A slight pause and a smile.] If it might be caused by the gods -- well, let's say there are rather well-known legends about gods causing extended floods in the form of punishment. Does anyone else have ideas or stories along these lines, perhaps?
[He shrugs.] Anything to occupy our minds while we're stuck like this, in any case.
