The task these 'Gods' gave us though are preposterous. They put us as heroes, something that no one has ever been or will be.

Placing the fate of all existence seems like a heroic task. Whoever is really in charge seems to have a flare for the dramatic.

A consulting detective's job is to lead the police when they are out of their depth, which occurs more often than you think, towards the right direction.

A hero is defined as someone who is noble and courageous. A fool.
