I don't who this woman thinks she is. I am not some pawn to be placed and sacrificed, I don't care why these 'deities' want me here or what this city may need. You can not simply keep me here against my will.

 

[He's not going to mention the fact the main reason he is so pissed is that something very important to him is missing. Very, very important. He takes a breath, calming down.]

[Sebastian watches the feed very, very closely before choosing how to respond. When Charles told him that he had a friend back home with a very similar face, it was interesting, but now that he's actually seeing a younger, less scarred mirror of himself, it's discomforting.

But it is a handsome face, admittedly.]

[This is...strange. A little off-putting. He's dealt with shape-shifting mutants before, sure. Raven's had her fair share of borrowing his face for various reasons.

But this? It's like some strange uncanny valley effect and Erik is not pleased.]

[Tell him about it. Sebastian hasn't had any run-ins with shape-shifters, but he has met an alternate version of himself (and a woman, no less) and of his boss.

This is different, though. It's more than bizarre. It's also incredibly discontenting.]

[Before the video feed appears, there's a few clicking noises. This tech is foreign to Raven, so it takes a minute for her to switch from voice to video.

But when she does finally switch it, you can see the relief in her face. Erik is here. ]

[It's like the tension in his shoulders is gone, though not completely. He smiles for a moment, but then the smile falters when he notices something about her.

She's not blue.]

Raven, your powers...?

[He'd tested his out earlier, when he first arrived, to be outraged at the fact they were gone. Completely. The maid mentioned something about him learning a new power, telekinesis, but he had waved it off because that would involve staying her long enough to figure it out.

But right now, if Raven's lost her mutation, that is much more devastating.]

[Charles studies Erik's clothes with an air of apprehension. Despite their unfamiliarity, Charles is certain this is Erik Lehnsherr. Unlike with the man named Sebastian, everything else matches with what he remembers of the other mutant. It was always a possibility that anyone from his world would be brought here, but being faced with it in reality is something different from the possibility altogether.

He nods at Erik, gaze cordial but wary.] Erik.

[The lingering look Charles is currently giving him almost makes him wonder. Sure, it has been a while since they last saw each other, but this is...different. Erik just needs to know how different.]

You're looking... [Wait a second. Wait just a...well isn't this interesting. He smiles very lightly to hide his surprise.] better.
