If anyone is interested, I've put together a short, basic guide on the city and the things that have happened up until now. A native was kind enough to show me how to submit a document like that - it's just like a typewriter except without all of the fussy ribbons.

[He looks oddly pleased about this, then gets back to the main topic. No point in dilly-dallying.]

Everything I've put there I gleaned from other Travelers, natives, and the gods' announcements. I arrived just before the thick fog lifted, so obviously there are gaps in my knowledge. If anyone could help fill those in for me, that'd be great.

(ooc: So...apparently something wrong when I was re-doing Edmund's icons, because now the icons in this entry from before are all his default. Sorry about that!)

Um. There are books. About Narnia. Probably written later, after you're... older. It's the year 2010 for me. And nice to meet you, too.

[a little bit where she looks down thinking that over. And then a small nod.]

Even if this is not your kingdom? And if it means that should you be lost in this place, you can't go back home to where you should be fighting?

There are? [He knows there are people scattered all over who have crossed paths with Narnia at some point, like their old professor, but to have books written?]

So Narnia is widely known in the future? I could hardly believe it, but you knew Narnia just from my name... [Edmund stops, piecing it together. Oh no.] Claire, are my siblings and I mentioned in these books?

Well, people know about Narnia. That's different from knowing Narnia, though, isn't it? Considering it's... Narnia.

And yes, they are. Why?

[If they're mentioned, then it's likely his mistakes with the White Witch have become common knowledge. Again.

It's not a thought Edmund really likes.]

Nothing. I didn't expect it, that's all.

[Aw, COME ON. He made up for that. She knows that.]

I thought you like your family. Actually I thought you like them a lot.

I care greatly for my siblings.

[He sighs, not wanting to explain, but seeing that she'd probably continue prodding if he doesn't.]

There are just a few details I would hope didn't make it into those books.

If you mean what I think you mean, they did forgive you. And you made up for it. A lot of times.

[He gets a weird mix of feelings just then, partially embarrassment at strangers knowing that part of his story, partially gratitude and relief that she's reassured him.]

Wouldn't you, if you ran into somebody you've read about?

I frankly have no idea what I would do.

[He hasn't encountered anyone out of the norm, and he's given it no thought, as a result.]

Is it common, running into famous people here?

Well... I got to talk with Leonardo da Vinci? He was going to give me art lessons, but I think he disappeared. By which I mean I hope he went home?

Leonardo da Vinci was here?

[After learning you have books written about you, Edmund probably won't be surprised by much anymore.

...da Vinci is pretty impressive, though.]

It's too bad about the lessons, though I'm guessing you're right about him going back home.

I think I'll survive.

[Her eyes crinkle, but then she shrugs.]

So... I suppose that answers the questions about famous people. Though different people would consider... well, different people to be famous.

Is there anybody you would like to meet?

You might stumble upon someone just as good for a teacher.

[He doubts it, because da Vinci, but it's a nice sentiment.]

There isn't anyone I would want to meet in particular...that I can think of. [He's pretty sure Aslan doesn't count...]

[Small smile.] Maybe not for art, but, yeah.

Okay. If you change your mind, let me know so I can keep on the lookout, too.

[... Edmund. Do you really want to bring Aslan to Asgard? Have you thought that through, what it would be like if he was deprived of his powers and stuck away from Narnia?]
