[When the video turns on, it's pointing to the side, where there's a man slouched again the stone wall, a cigarette hanging from his lips. He breathes in deeply, and then lets it out slowly, holding the cigarette between two fingers.]

Pretty crowded for a place that needs life brought to it.

[Says absently as he continues to people watch, and he taps off some ash, bringing it back up to his lips and sucking in, the ember burning.]

I have a few things I need to know. First, I'm looking for a little girl, brown hair, pigtails. The maid said new people are arriving every day, and they're being sent to all these different houses. So I'm asking if anyone has seen my daughter. Her name is Nanako Dojima. She's seven years old.

[He glances into the communicator.]

If you see her, tell her to stay where she is, or head over to the Heimdall House. That's where I'll be. Second, if you meet a bunch of kids from Yasoinaba, Japan, tell them Souji's uncle is looking for them. [More smoking.]

Third, could use some more cigarettes. Anyone who has any extra... I'd appreciate it.

Once you get used to it... it's not that bad.

[ it won't be too long before they arrive at the sigyn hall, where nanako should be waiting inside. souji will just call her out for now with his device, since he knows that entering a hall you don't belong to can cause strange side effects. ]

[ it doesn't take long for Nanako to appear - she's even running towards them, considering it was Souji of all people calling for her over these devices, and of course she would want to see him, but.. when she gets a bit closer, she notices that he's not alone. and that only makes her go faster - nearly tripping over her feet in the process - before she halts right in front of them with big, surprised eyes. ]

[Oh, thank god. She's okay. It doesn't matter about anything else in this place; as long as she's okay. Dojima drops down to his knees, wrapping his arms around his daughter.]

You're okay?

[verifies]

[ souji just smiles and watches, not wanting to ruin the moment. well, in a sense, perhaps his job is already done anyway, so he'll just take a step back and let the two catch up. ]

U.. uh-huh. I'm fine.

[ at that she smiles, and it's genuine. of course she would be happy to see her father of all people again, and when she's hugged she gladly leans against him a little, into the hug. ]

You're a bit late, though.. [ there's something pouty in her expression at that, but it's only very slightly here - the happiness still is the main thing present. ]
