[Sam is sitting in a chair in the library, surrounded by all of the books, and he looks somewhat tired, but in good spirits. For the most part. Save for that whole 'he definitely hasn't slept' thing.]

Hey -- I think this thing's on... anyway, I'm Sam Winchester.

[Ordinarily he'd never give out his full name, seeing as they're on the run from the Leviathan and all that, but he's ascertained the big bads aren't around -- so a little honesty couldn't hurt, especially with what he's about to ask.]

Nice to meet everyone. I was wondering if anyone could give me a couple of answers to some questions -- you don't have to, and it's obviously not obligatory, but I'd appreciate it.

First, how many of you have any kind of supernatural ability that was taken away when you got here? It doesn't matter what it is -- telekinesis, the ability to fly -- if anything changed, I'd like to know. You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but knowing what changed is important in knowing how we all got here in the first place.

[And, more importantly, how to get out.]

Second, I was wondering if anyone could tell me where to find some chalk and some spices. Specifically, rosemary, allspice, or nutmeg. Salt would be good, too. I know there's probably a grocery store or something like that around, but any pointers would be great. And, uh --

[Sam pauses before clearing his throat, thumping his pen against the table for a few seconds before continuing.]

Hypothetically speaking, if you had a coat with a lot of blood on it, what would you do to get it out? And I need to know where to find non-blood-stained clothes that'd fit a normal-sized human being. ... hypothetically.

What's an AT, exactly?

Nice to meet you too, Sam-san.

[Reaches and picks up his. It resembles a two-wheeled rollerblade. Akito's happen to have wheels that seem to be serrated, of all things] These, Air Treck. There's a motor in the wheels, so they're not the same as normal rollerblades. You can do a lot with them. I guess that's why they got modified...

[ ... dude.]

Motorized serrated rollerblades.

[He sounds impressed. Because that's pretty cool.]

[He smiles and giggles a little at that] The wheels are unique to my AT, most have round wheels. But yeah, pretty much.

I definitely never got those for Christmas as a kid.

[That makes him laugh] Well, AT can be expensive. I think they're only popular in Japan too. [He's never heard of them elsewhere, not including what Nike was doing in America]

Japan, right. That makes sense.

I'm pretty sure American parents would flip out if their kids ever brought that home from daycare.

Heh, maybe. The ordinary AT aren't too bad, though, more like rollerblades that can go faster than normal. These ones are special. They're built for how Agito rides.

Agito?

My other. He and me share this body. [He taps his eyepatch]

Your other?

Mmhmm. Other half. It's like...if Akito was the light, then Agito would be shadow. He's my total opposite. [Despite this, he cares for Agito a lot, as probably evident by the fond tone] Two sides to the same coin. Together we make up this form.

[Sam doesn't look all that bothered by the description.]

And he's still with you, right?

Yup. We're still together. I guess we weren't considered to be too different to change. [He shrugs a little, listening to his other mutter in his head]

[Sam does look pleased about that, genuinely.]

Good. You're one of the lucky ones, then.

[He smiles at that] I guess so. I'm glad too. I don't know what I'd do without Agito. He's too important to me. [Without Agito...he shivers a little. He doesn't know what he'd do without his other half]

I think everyone has people like that.

Yeah...though hopefully most of them are in one world. While Agito and I can't be separated, I don't think I'd recommend our arrangement with other people. There's times when having people with you in reality is good. [He knows this from experience]

I guess there's a pro and a con to everything, including that.

But either way, it's good they didn't separate you.

Yup. Everything had a good and a bad...

Mm, yeah. Still, I wonder how the house stuff will work...Agito's not in my house. [Eyes his bracelet curiously]

You guys are opposites, right? That makes some kind of sense.

Where is he?

Yup. You think so? [He thinks on that]

He's in Hel's house. He has a different...powery thing from me, too.

He's obviously staying with you, so I think that problem's already been answered.

I guess we'll find out more about what any of these houses actually mean the longer we're stuck here.
