[Laura is walking through the now colourful land of Asgard. She looks less like someone who is appreciating the beauty of nature and more like a caged animal pacing.

She raises her communicator to give a panoramic view of a multi-hued area of the streets of Asgard, moving it around to prove her points.]

The gods cannot be relied on to keep their word. They will probably try to hold onto us for insurance.

[Pessimistic? Just a bit. But then, Laura has never been a ray of sunshine. It's not in her nature to see the bright side of life.]

Then it would be best to form a strategy to destabilize some of that power.

Are you sure that is even possible? Aren't gods supposed to be all seeing and all knowing? They might notice an uprising coming.

If they were all seeing and all knowing, they would not have needed us to fight for them in the first place.

True. Unless they are the type of gods that want to delegate those sort of duties so they don't have to get their hands dirty.

That might be true for some, but Thor is the god of strength and Hel is the goddess of death. The idea of either of them shying away from that seems odd.

Then why do you think they brought people in to fight for them just like the other gods?

Being willing to fight does not mean they would refuse help, or that they would not want their own forces. Especially if there are conflicts between the gods.

I suppose you are right. Still, their had to be less criminal ways of gaining help to win this war.

I doubt they think of kidnapping mortals as criminal.

Doesn't matter if they do are not. It still is.

It would be difficult to win such a case in court, even if it is kidnapping.

Well I'm not saying we should try to do it. But this is what it is, you know.

I am not denying it is kidnapping. The gods might, however.

I'm sure they would. But really, had they just came to me in my world and told me what was at stake, I'd have come along willingly.

[That makes Laura consider for a moment. Would she have come if asked?]

Perhaps they thought they would not get as many people if they asked for volunteers.

They said their world falls, then everyone's world would reset. I don't know about everyone else, but that is something I wouldn't want to happen.

Neither would I. But that does rely on the gods telling us the truth.

They shouldn't really have a reason to lie to us.

People in power will lie to keep themselves in power.

[This is something she knows all too well. Dr. Rice had lied on more than one occasion to make her suffer.]
