[ Riku's restless. Hanging around the lobby is boring. Staying in his room is boring. He wants out, to at least see his friends, but the fog's ridiculously thick and he knows he'll only get lost. 

Time to try giving them a call. He puts in the number for Sora and then for Kairi, not really noticing that his restless pacing has brought him near the ball pit as he leaves messages for them.

It's the first thing Cloud notices when he rounds the corner. A ball pit and a distracted punk not watching his footing; it's a simple combination. Cloud doesn't even think as one hand impulsively rises to shove Riku off-balance. No harm, no foul; the kid will survive the sea of plastic balls. He'll just be indignant. With that in mind, Cloud squats down at the edge of the ball pit and fishes one out, sure there will be some retaliation when Riku comes back up. (To be honest, he's looking forward to it. With no way to spar in the house, there has to be something to do.)

And Riku delivers on that expectation. As soon as he gets his feet back under him and his head out of the pit, he's swiping the nearest ball and aiming right for the jerk's head, not even aware that his bracelet is now broadcasting the video feed publicly. ] Hey, bird brain! Watch where you're going!

[ Cloud instantly dodges and counterstrikes, thanks to being prepared; though since his head's moving at the same time he throws, the ball goes a little wide. ] 'Bird brain'? I'm not the one who went flying.

[ With a slightly raised eyebrow. Really, Riku, you don't think that was an accident, do you?

Riku's dodged that one by going to the side, although it's unnecessary at this rate. He's gritting his teeth as his footing slips a bit more. Why did it have to be in here!

No matter. Cloud should join him soon with the way Riku's trying to lunge at him. ] Shut up!

[ And Cloud does just that-- because really the point is to (play) fight. Because of that, though he's surprised by how quick Riku goes at him, eyes widening, he doesn't fight it too hard; it only takes a brief struggle for Riku to get him tumbling head over heels into the pit, multicolored balls flying up everywhere with the "splash".

...This place really needs better supervision. With how many balls are being thrown around, it might just turn into an all out war. ]

That's... a long story. [A sigh.] It's Naka -

[The blood drizzles down to her lip, where she finally feels it and wipes as much as she can away with her little finger.] Oh no... [She pinches her nose and lifts her head, trying to stop the bleeding.]

Nakama...?

[Oh man, that couldn't be her could it? Did she pissed off a god or something and they changed her.

He wades his way through the balls as best he can to get the edge. If he's close enough, he can heal it and get the bloody nose instead.]

Here. Let me see.

[ Nakama?? He was...saying the kinds of things she'd say. But. ]

Why are you--?

[ No, that's not important. He takes a few steps trailing behind Riku, though he's slower. Feeling a little guilty, because he started the ruckus, but hey. That was Riku's ball.

Still... ]

You have Damage Drain? [ It's a question to Riku; if he doesn't, he'll take it. If anyone here should have a bloody nose, it's--definitely not Nakama. ]

I'll explain when this stops. [Her voice is thick and nasal.] It shouldn't be too...

[Oh, they're talking about Damage Drain. That won't do.]

You don't have to do that...! It's just a nosebleed, it won't last too long. It doesn't hurt anymore or anything.

No, but it's still bleeding. [He looks back at Cloud with a nod, then reaches out a hand to her.]

It was my ball, so I'll take it. Come on.

Are you sure...? [She moves her hand away a little, keeping two fingers pinched around the nostrils, and a black eye just starting to blossom becomes visible around the corner of her left eye near the nose. She was lying - it's still quite painful, and she's worried about causing someone else pain.] I could always go to Sigyn...

If we could go anywhere we wouldn't be screwing around in the first place. [ ...This is probably news to Riku but. YEP. Fog creates stir-crazy. So don't say that. With Nakama starting to look worse Cloud's coming out of the ball pit himself, focusing on that blossoming black eye. ]

[DO YOU WANT HIM TO GLARE A HOLE THROUGH YOUR HEAD, CLOUD

CAUSE BY LIGHT

[Turning back to Nakama now...]

There's no telling when the fog will lift and when we can get to Sigyn for it. It's out best bet for now. [He lifts himself out of the pit now to sit on the edge, hand still held out in an offer.]

Al - right - [She lets go of her nose but keeps her head tilted back, Ushiro's bangs falling away from his forehead and his glasses slipping up a little on his poor battered nose. A very thin trickle of blood continues to flow, but she forces herself to ignore it - it looks like he needs to touch her, or at least get close, for this to work.]

[ Why do you think he was a complete jerk at the beginning of his game Riku

He was building up a tolerance to glares! His head is too thick to be penetrated, haha...wait. Is that good or bad?

Anyway. Damage Drain doesn't actually require touch, even if it helps for concentration, so Cloud just folds his arms when he spies the black eye. Since Riku's focused on the bloody nose, he'll just take that. (It's only fair. In his head, anyway.)

...And from the feel of it Riku had a pretty impressive arm on that ball. For a kid. ]

[You're damn right he has a good arm. He didn't have all those muscles in the first game for nothing.

And damn, he feels his nose pretty much crunching on itself. He keeps a hand nearby to feel the blood coming down. It hurts and it's been a very long time since he's injured his nose, and it's a grim reminder of just how strong his arm really is. Crap.]

...Better?

I'm fine... are you two okay? I can get you some tissues, Riku, and Cloud, you should have an ice pack... [Already turning toward the kitchen, ignoring the smear of blood still on her own face.]

--Hey, don't fuss about it. This is nothing.

[ ...Except there was definitely a twinge when the pain really sank in. But seriously, he's had much worse. Comes with being a crazy protagonist. (The attitude just comes with trying to be a "tough guy".) ]

[Another look. Speak for yourself, Cloud. He can't breathe through his nose right now

But still, after hitting her in the face, he jerks a thumb at Cloud as he raises his head.]

What he said.

I'm not fussing. [Puffing up a little.] You two need attention. Come on, to the kitchen with me.

You're going to drip. [ Cloud never does manage "speaking for himself" very well.

There is a flat look at Nakama for a few seconds--is he really getting babied for a black eye--before he breaks off his glance (and winces from the soreness in that eye, brilliant as he is) and shifts on his feet with a sigh. ] Alright...
