[Usually if England has something to say on the network it's important--in his mind at least. He might ramble on to be certain the point has been made and that he's been heard, but the current circumstances have set him in a particularly clipped and rather prompt mood.
He doesn't begin speaking immediately when the feed clicks on. Instead, his right hand is gloved and raised and on it is perched a very stuffy-looking burrowing owl. The owl hoots softly and shifts, ruffling his feathers with a few sleepy blinks.]
I know it's almost midday Winston, s'alright. [England then lifts his chin and settles properly into his chair.]
Listen up, Asgard. [a sea of calm, he is.] We ought to stay organized and pressed to continue with this project given to us by these 'gods.' If they want color then clearly we should provide it! Whether or not you want to play along, the fact is, you're here. The situation won't improve itself through idle hands. The efforts given already aren't in vain at all.
There's something to be said for the desire to return home--to the familiar, if not to a place of comfort. Let us continue toward our common goal regardless of our individual motivations. I have no doubt we'll succeed.
[shifting, he brings his other hand to his mouth and clears his throat. So much for being to the point. Ah, well.]
That said, I've a request of sorts. Being that I am in fact England in flesh and blood, it's high time I continue carrying out my duties.
For the first order of business: There is a form attached below. If you are a citizen or resident of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland--or any variation thereof, God knows I've had too many names--as well as the Crown Dependencies and of course the British Overseas Territories-- [the two phrases roll out of his mouth like rehearsed lines said with an extra layer of underlying disdain]
--if you would please fill out that form, I'd really appreciate it. [HE SIGHS.]
And please, be honest--it'll make the entire process much simpler for everyone involved. I should add that citizenship and/or residency applies, in my graciousness between the time periods of the Roman occupation of Britain and... I suppose, at some point in the future beyond the year 2012.
