[Sam is sitting in a lounge at the hospital with what appears to be a laptop on his lap. There is no Internet connection here, nor is there any real practical reason for Sam to have his laptop with him, but he has it now, and it has a metric ton of information stored on it, so he wants it. Besides, it's comforting to be doing something, even if that something is reorganizing the files for the tenth time in the past hour.

When he speaks, he sounds exhausted.]

The Ides of March is the 15th day of March on the Roman Calendar. It marks the day that Julius Caeser was killed. Before Caeser was killed, though, a seer told warned him that he would be hurt, but Caeser didn't listen, and he brushed the guy off. He was stabbed later in the day, at the theatre of Pompey, twenty three times in front of the Roman Senate by a group of conspirators lead by his former friend, Marcus Junius Brutus. So --

[Sam lets out a long breath.]

That's what this must be about. If you stuck around and listened to the old man that everyone seemed to run into, a couple days ago, then you were rewarded for it. That's why some of us got personal items from home -- but if you ignored the guy, you were stabbed by a close friend. Like Caeser was -- or, well, that's my theory, anyway. The theory fits the facts of what's been going on.

[He pauses for a moment.]

Any of the available healers should probably come to the hospital. There might be more attacks for the people that ignored the seer. Not everyone is going to be so lucky.

[And Sam shuts off the bracelet. He has some people to visit.]

Are any healers here even developed enough in their abilities to heal deep tissue or cellular damage caused by stab or crush wounds?

The hospital is capable of healing serious injuries, but any healers available can lend their powers together to heal major wounds.

[He looks up, at Merlin approaching, before he offers half a smile.]

No -- but a couple of my friends were. And I wanted to check out the hospital, anyway.

It's the only sound theory I have. People don't usually start seeing visions of the people they care about only to get stabbed by them. And the term 'Ides of March' has been floating around the network in correlation to the incidents.

Okay, so, let's put the whole "the gods have a sick sense of humor" thing aside, and figure out why they would give us the opportunity to earn something from home or get stabbed a la Caesar, depending on how we treated an old seer.

Also, we might wanna contact the hospital and have them put together an emergency response team. I doubt we've seen the end of the ides, if you know what I mean.

She's sitting down briefly, resting after a healthy dose of power lending, and she bursts out just as a certain someone walks by:]

[Dean had dozed off slightly when Sam had started researching, too stubborn to leave despite being exhausted, but the post wakes him up. Running his fingers back through his hair, a frown replaces the tired look on his face as he glances over at Sam.]

Why the hell would Norse gods be going Roman on us?

[Sam hasn't been able to sleep since this thing started. Sleeping, in general, was growing more or more difficult to accomplish -- add the stress of a good number of his friends getting assaulted by this thing and goodbye, REM cycle. But when Dean falls asleep, he doesn't bother him, though he does glance over at Dean when he speaks.]

March is a holy month in a lot of pagan religions -- Greek, Roman, some Japanese beliefs... but none strictly Norse that I can remember. Why they picked the Ides of March to focus on is beyond me, but something tells me it's just to deliver a warning. Play nice or get stabbed. Seems to fit the bill of their peacocking and posturing earlier.

[And Sam frowns tiredly at his laptop screen.]

You know your history. Still, I hardly think Asgardian history is so dull that these.. particular versions of the Aesir need to borrow events from Rome of all places.

It sets people on edge if they do things they aren't expecting. Besides, the majority of the people in this city didn't know what the phrase meant at all. It didn't even hit me until I heard it on the network a couple hours ago.

[ She's listening to him talk, and when he's done addressing the whole thing, she looks over at him with a frown on her face. ]

I just don't get how they could make a perfect copy of Angel, Sam. How is that even possible?

[He pauses before he closes his laptop to shift forward in his seat, frowning.]

[Now that the danger is out of the way and Buffy isn't going to die, Sam can now resort to full-on nagging mode.]

[Bobby had come to the hospital to see if he can do anything to help, with the added bonus of taking his mind off of things.

In theory, anyway.

He walks into the hospital, notebook in hand (more out of habit than anything), to hear Sam finishing up his announcement to Asgard. It is all information Bobby had figured out himself, and it does take a load off his shoulders on informing the travelers here. Good old Sam.

He heads over to sit next to the younger hunter, exhaustion deepening the lines on his face.]

Just like 'em to not stick with their own history.
