She knows that it's possible for people to be brought here after death, and unless a miracle occurred, the only way for them to survive was for either of them to become a magical girl. It's either that, or Madoka was brought here after her death, and the possibility of that and the feeling of responsibility and guilt make Mami hesitate at first. Of course, it's just a possibility, yet before Mami replies she stares at her bracelet for a moment, just feeling her heart pounding at impossible speed. ]

[ On one hand, it's surely cowardly of her to stick to voice, but she can't look her in the face after what happened. That, and Mami can't help but be at a loss for words. What can she tell her? What can she possibly say to her? She wants to ask what happened after she died, but is too afraid of what the answer might be, so she just goes with the flow, responding to what Madoka is saying without adding anything of her own. ]

Yes...by some definition of alright, I suppose. [ She's alive, at least, but this is just temporary, isn't it? ]
