[The feed flickers on to reveal a rather serious-looking girl with long, silver hair; she appears to be seated on the steps leading up to one of the God Houses, her arms wrapped loosely around her knees. At the moment, she's not looking at the camera, and instead, it's as if her attention is drawn to anyone who may be passing by in the area instead.]

Etro does not watch over these lands. A new goddess serves as my patron.

[She goes quiet again, apparently content to just watch the passersby for a while. When she does finally turn to look at the camera, her expression is nigh unreadable, and the tone of her voice is as calm and steady as ever.]

The timeline is different--unknowable.

[Yeul turns her gaze away again but quickly shifts it back, lips parted slightly as if she's about to say something. The moment passes, though, and she remains silent. After a little longer, she turns off the feed, but not before the faintest hint of a frown crosses her features.]

[While Caius had been here for a little while at least, he honestly had no need to use the communication device. He had no intention to communicate with those here when he already had a purpose, and just listening to others on the network had provided him with more than enough information about what this place was.

But this is different. Because.

[There's a moment's pause as she just sort of... stares at Caius through the communication device. After having been abandoned by the Guardian, she honestly hadn't been expecting to run into him here.

That might be a tiny frown on her lips right now--just maybe. If you squint, perhaps?]

I am. I had not foreseen your arrival here.

[...Then again, she didn't exactly see herself getting brought here either.]

It seems that this occurrence could not have been foreseen by anyone. [Even with being able to see the future and all, this whole thing was probably just a bit out of Yeul's visions. Just maybe.] Are you unharmed?

[Of course it doesn't help that he also doesn't know which Yeul this is, but... welp, Guardians gonna guard!! Except in his case and with this Yeul it seems entirely backwards and incomprehensible, it'll make more sense to him once he figures it out okay. (Though with a change in expression like that, despite how subtle, it's almost enough for a hint.)]

[She nods her head demurely, meeting and holding his gaze. Awkward this may potentially become when he finds out which Yeul she is, the Seeress makes no mention of it for the moment. If nothing else, she's good at being polite and unreadable! Look at that lineface go!]

I have not come to any physical harm.

[She just lets that hang there before speaking again. Stilted conversation? What's that?]

[ Needless to say, it's not every day that someone appears on the network speaking of Etro. Especially when it's one who looks so... familiar, as it were. Apparently it's official: this place is starting to drag in basically anyone related to the catastrophe. All of the "six and the one," then Noel, and now the Seeress of Paddra herself? Or one of her incarnations, anyway...

But at least it could be worst; unless her Guardian is here as well--

Just excuse Lightning a minute, as she mentally flips every table in range, uprights them all, then does it again. This would be where things get frustratingly complicated. ]

[ A weird-seeming inquiry, yeah... but short and deceptively easy.

And without Lightning's own name attached right away. Not that it's bound to be a secret for long at all, with her not trying too hard to conceal it, but maybe Yeul will either just not care... or at least offer up a bit of information before cutting her off. Lightning's just not one to avoid jumping to the point even if it might sound strange to someone not familiar with this place's habit of dragging in people from random points in time.

... Or familiar with time travel in general. Whichever. ]

[What year? Well, that certainly is an odd question. Does it matter what year, especially since she's no longer in her own world? Despite this, though, she's a bit wary about actually giving out too many details. Even the smallest things can have great impact and play out in the strangest of ways.

To give an actual year could cause an individual to be overly optimistic. To describe the land she comes from would cause worry, as would saying that she comes from the end of days. So how then should she word this... ?]

Fortunately, Lightning already has lots of experience in playing the puzzling statement game-- and since she already knows about how messed up the "future" is, Yeul's concern is for the most part preemptively nulled.

Kind of, since she's sort of actively aiming to get things changed around, anyway. ]

[ Oh really now Lightning, how many people know about the so-called 'last child' and his connection to a particular silver-haired girl? However, the woman's abruptly quite a bit more urgent now, rather than as cautious as she could be. If her suspicion actually turns out to be true and this is the Yeul from 700 years after she and the other Pulse l'Cie won against the Sanctum fal'Cie... ]

[ things noel kreiss never expected to see on the network #439: this. he's only been looking for any clues to the situation until now, preferring to make most of his interactions in person, but this... this is different. ]

Yeul? [ there's a crack in his voice-- etro knows which yeul it might be, at this point, but he doesn't really care; the fact she's here at all paints this place in an entirely different light. ] Are you okay? Where are you?

[The usual passive expression on her face warms, and a small smile pulls at her lips. That's recognition in her gaze, and while she is certainly surprised to find him here, that's hardly a thing she is upset about. Seeing Noel relieves some of the anxiety she's felt since arriving--the strange feelings of living with the unknown weighing on her spirit.]

Hi Noel. [She dips her head once in acknowledgement of his first question before answering his second.] I have just arrived at a Sigyn house.

[ her reaction is unexpected, but more welcome than he ever thought possible-- he was all too ready for this to be another i am not the yeul you know, and while he stuffs down his own feelings his entire attitude seems to shift into something just that little more hopeful. ]

Sigyn, huh? [ he's a fair distance away, but his time spent running around asgard has given him an idea of where all the houses are at the very least. ] Just stay where you are, Yeul. I'll be there soon.

[ and in contrast to his controlled response, one noel kreiss is now running as fast as he can towards sigyn district; both unwilling to keep yeul waiting and wanting to confirm things for himself in person. he hasn't quite reasoned out just how she could possibly be here, but logic is the last thing on his mind as he nears the god house-- too busy searching for something other than artefacts for the first time since arriving. ]

[She has just enough time to nod at him once more before he's gone. Being so new to Asgard, she has no idea where he is or how far he could be, but Yeul has faith that he'll be true to his word of being there soon.

She stands up and takes a renewed interest in the people walking by, hoping to spot Noel as he draws nearer. His appearance is not immediate, of course, but eventually, she spots his familiar figure approaching. Yeul then takes a few steps away from the steps, raising a hand to wave at him demurely.]

... You know about Etro?

[ It's the first time she's really heard of anyone knowing of her, at least, not someone she didn't already know was from their world. But what kind of person could this girl be, to have a Goddess like Etro as her patron..? ]

[It doesn't take Yeul long to realize that she's speaking with one of the Pulse l'Cie who had saved Cocoon. The name "Vanille" settles on the tip of her tongue, but to use it now without any formal introduction would likely come across as alarming. Instead, she merely nods her head.]

Gran Pulse is my home. I am a member of the Farseer tribe.

You mean... From Paddra, then, don't you. [ That makes a little more sense. She'd never been, before she and Fang had been put into crystal stasis, but it wasn't a tribe unknown to her at all. She knew they worshiped Etro, something she'd always found so odd and something she'd never really been able to understand— but nothing she'll mention, now. It's no nice to insult someone else's God, after all. She and Fang certainly hated it when anyone spoke ill of Pulse, or their home. ]

You're right— about the time here. It's... Different, from what it is in our world.

[the name may not have as much significance to Hope as it might have to some of the others from his world—he'd probably only heard it in stories and history lessons in school—but it's still enough to strike him as familiar. he's grown so used to people he doesn't recognize as being from other worlds, but if she'd used the goddess's name... there's a chance she's from the same one as him, right?]

[Oh, this is different.

Yeul's seen Hope in her visions before, but she's far more used to seeing his adult face. There's something a little nostalgic about the younger self being here, even though she has never met him in person. She cants her head slightly to the side while she studies him for a moment before nodding her head.]

Yes. Etro: the Goddess who watches over Cocoon and Gran Pulse. You are familiar with her, yes?
