[ Cordelia's read the letter a thousand times over. She's scanned the network - a bit bored - and knows that this place is the most boring hell dimension she could be sucked into. If there's an opening to be the ruler, count her in, but otherwise, she just really wants to go home. Or not home. Being dead means you can't exactly return home. ]

So, is this place like Pleasantville? I teach you something profound and things bloom with colour? Because, got to say, this is the most boring afterlife one could ask for. And, let's be clear, I didn't ask for an afterlife in the first place.

[ In her opinion, the Powers That Hijack owe her more than just allowing her to make peace and amends with her friends. Getting Angel back on track meant the world to her, but she really - desperately and hopelessly - wants to be there to see them conquer this fight. The Powers owe her that.

She's contacting the network - her fellow prisoners, she supposes - for a reason, and that's to learn. The one thing she's learnt over the years from being someone who saves the world is that research may be the most boring thing on the planet, but, by god, it's essential. ]

Can someone tell me more about this Freya? Her likes, dislikes, powers, whether she likes long, slow walks on the beach, whatever. [ ... ] Or point me in the direction of a good book. [ She misses Wesley. She's clicking her heels; she wants to go home. ]

Well, I'm not exactly a resident of the land of the living anymore. [ Saying "I'm dead" is just too much at the moment. She knows she's dead. Saying it and knowing it are two different things. It makes it more real.

So, a change in pace to distract herself and her fellow video-ee is in need. ] Have you been to this library?

Dimensions and sense do not mix, in case you didn't know. [ And this one hasn't made her their ruler! Losing points as we speak. ] And good. I was kind of hoping this place wasn't what came after living. It's kind of a downer.

Well... I wouldn't say normal. But there aren't any portals that I know of, so probably more normal than wherever you're from!

Not so much exploring as talking to people! [When your legs are this short, you prioritize.] I did go to Sigyn district though, to have lunch.

Well... we have vampires. [that's safe, right?] But that's just normal for us, not really for everyone. Most people don't even know they're real.

Nah, I've never even been out of Washington. But there's covens all over the place, right? I met some from Alaska one time.

I've eaten lots -- let's see -- the first day, I had toast and some ramen I made myself. Today I had toast for breakfast, Seiko-neechan made bacon and pancakes for lunch and I had toast again just now ...

I still have all my fingers and toes and other appendages, but I didn't think loss of limbs was associated with food poisoning.

I wouldn't exactly call myself the vampire expert. [ She'd call Angel that one, since he's a vampire himself, and all. She's just a sidekick. ] But the ones I have encountered are usually the loner wolf types.
