[The screen shows what could only be described as an almost eerily calm female, somewhat young with her hair slightly on the messy side, as though she's just rolled out of bed, or maybe just tried to go three rounds with a maid that didn't seem to care one way or another no matter how many times Rose tried to hit her in the head with... Never mind.]

Alright. What's the catch? Don't get me wrong, thanks for the get out of jail free card and all but really. There's always a catch.

[She runs her fingers back through her hair, making a pathetic attempt at fixing her appearance.]

I better not have gotten out of one death sentence just so I could get handed another, cause if that's the case, I'm not going to be the only one to die, just sayin.

I guess that could be a "catch", in a way.

Kind of a catch. I can handle said catch as long as it's the only one.

Depends on what your definition of "catch" is, though.

What surprises some people is absolutely normal for others, you know.

Am I going to 1. Die. 2. Get Tortured or C. Be forced to do things generally considered against my will on a regular basis.

Anything else I can more or less handle. The above, I'm gonna be pissed off.

You might die. But no one is asking you to fight.

The problem is, is that if you don't fight, then your world gets erased as you know it if we lost. A heavy price to pay for not participating and helping the gods win.

[There's a long pause as Rose processes all this information. She'd read the material, she knew the basic drill, but somehow hearing somebody else say it gave it a whole new perspective, one she hadn't wanted to accept until this moment.]

Right. [A frown creases her forehead.] Well good to know. [Possibly some bitterness there.]

Well then, I don't suppose you know how I'm supposed to find this Thor guy? Or his house or whatever...

[He smiles gently, shaking his head.] We can't talk to the gods unless they want to talk to us. However, if you ask around, you can find someone who knows where Thor District is.

Well, if what people here have been telling me is any indication, there is a war going on here...but otherwise, there isn't much to be worried about. Some people have been living here relatively normally since they got here.

It appears as though it's better than where you were before, anyway.

Right... so death is kind of optional, not a given.

[Because that made one heck of a difference. Potential death was part of her job description.]
