Hi, my name is Sora. I'm new here! I know we're supposed to bring life to this world, but how are we supposed to do that? I wonder if it's one of those smiling things, like no sad faces. If we're happy and smile a lot, maybe things will get better. We should definitely test it.

I have another question. Does anybody know if any of my friends are here? Whenever something weird happens, my friends Donald and Goofy are always with me. I have two other friends, Kairi and Riku. They're my best friends and I can't believe we got separated again! All my friends are really important to me so if you see any of them, you have to let me know!

Okay, thank you. I'm going to stop this thing now. I'm gonna ask someone around here to show me how to use it. Hope they don't mind!

Dear Light, if Sora catches wind about the ball pit in Heimdall, Riku's never going to hear the end of it.]

[It's going to take him at least 15 minutes to get there.]

Yes sir! I'll meet you by the door, okay?

Yup.

[And minutes later, Riku's coming up the front steps of the House, panting. Man, he misses using Corridors.]

[Sora is so happy to see him, he wants to run up to him and start play punching him. Riku looks winded so he goes easy on him and meets him at the top step.]

Riku! You made it! Where were you coming from?

[He holds up his map. It's time to start learning Asgard's geography.]

[He would not appreciate play fighting, Sora. Not. At. All.

Still, he gives a cocky smile, basically saying 'Of course I made it' and points to the map.]

I'm in Heimdall. The Welcome House is right here for it.

Whoa, and you got here so fast!

[Sora grins, admiring Riku's speed (he won all those races for a reason) and tucks the map under his arm. He might need it later.]

Sorry you had to come so far. I probably could have met you halfway.

Yeah well. Still could have gotten here faster if I had my abilities.

[He takes one more deep breath and settles himself into a normal stance and shoves his hands in his pockets.]

Nah, it's okay. I needed the exercise anyways. Besides, you'd probably get lost.

Yeah, I-- Hey, no way, man! I fly ships. I can always tell where I'm going. You only know where to go because you've been here longer.

[Sora sounds mad but his smile betrays his tone. He knows he would wander off the path, it's just in his nature to argue with Riku.]

You fly the ships. Donald or Goofy probably do the navigating.

[It's all smiles here. It's nice to have the light-hearted banter back after all those days and nights of searching.]

Besides, you're right. The place isn't huge, but it's a fair bit bigger than what we're used to.

It makes you think of Hollow Bastion, doesn't it?

[He looks around, taking in all of the muted shades of Freya. When he speaks, he sounds sad.]

It's a big world but it lost its life. All of the people who live here... It must be really hard for them.

[He's not one for remembering that world. Riku gets enough from his dreams to not have to remember that place. But now that he thinks of it, he sees what Sora means.]

...A little bit.

We can only assume that's the case, Sora. This might just be something that they're used to too. [A pause and he looks back at his friend.]

I mean, you saw the maid in there right? How she acted?

[He nods but frowns.]

But if they're used to it, why are we here? Would she tell us what we're supposed to do if everybody was used to living like this?

Not... that kind of used to it. [He pauses, trying to figure out how to proper phrase it.] More that they might not even be aware of what's going on around them, save for maybe a few of them. And the gods.

[Sora doesn't think much of the gods so far. If one of the gods would share what took Asgard's life away, bringing it back would be so much easier.]

I don't know how I feel about the gods. They really want help, but they kidnapped us to get it.

[He does want to tell Sora not to waste his time with worry over the gods and everything, but at the same time, he knows he won't listen and it's better for Sora to figure out his own opinions on them.

He kind of shrugs.] Tells you how considerate they are at the very least. They're hard to trust.
