one • video/action for heimdall.
[ today in heimdall district, one (1) noel kreiss can be found (unsuccessfully) searching for artefacts-- in other words, running around like a headless chicken looking in strange places while questioning the natives who walk past him. his video feed on the network clicks on to the last few seconds of the hunt, with only a facepalm to show for his troubles. ]
Ooookay, talking to these guys isn't really getting me anywhere. I'm guessing it's the same for everyone else-- probably has something to with the whole "grey and emotionless" thing. Just a theory. [ there's something of a scoff attached to that statement. ] So humour me: just what do we know about this place? Has anyone been here for longer than the rest?
[ a pause, and then he continues anyway. no harm in asking. ]
I'm mostly looking for inconsistencies: things that don't seem to belong, even somewhere as weird as this. [ without mog, he has to resort to asking the old fashioned way. ] If you see anything that seems to fit that description, let me know. It'll probably be obvious, so don't strain yourself looking too hard.

Well... [ she has a point, but he doesn't exactly want to be carrying people around to toss at gates ] You're right, but that's not exactly what I meant. Things that suddenly appeared without belonging to anyone, or don't match the rest of this place-- I haven't seen enough yet to judge what might be 'normal' around here. [ but he's working on it! ]
( video. )
I don't know if I've seen anything like that. Anything I've seen pop up tends to belong to someone, and... Other than that, everything seems to belong here in Asgard. But then again... It's kind of hard to judge what does and doesn't belong, since the stuff that happens here doesn't...
Ah... It doesn't always really seem to make much sense.
[ btw he should throw people at gates because it would be hilarious. just think of them as mog as let 'em fly, noel!! ]

{action} im sorry knoll so v. sry
He's never seen this dude before, so time to make friendly!]
Hey there, new guy! Lookin' for something?
{action} permission to push snow off a cliff
--Wait, you're here too? [ that's not how the gates are supposed to work why are you here... but more importantly-- ] Why are you just standing around doing nothing? Where's Serah?
[ ironically meeting snow means this place makes about 10% more sense than it did five minutes ago, so maybe other, less obnoxious people he knows are here too. ]
you were predisposed to that privilege when lightning hired you

[ . . . ] Not that I think you'd ever find anything normal in this place, sorry to say.
[ video ]
(obviously he's yet to meet some of the real crackpots but shh) ]
It's starting to seem that way. [ he's met snow, this place is doomed by default. ] Giving up so easily doesn't help anyone, though. I'll keep looking until I know for sure.

[ Geez... what, with all these creatures running amuck, the frequent disappearances and reappearances, and the load of baloney coming from everyone's mouths... yeah, he's gonna have to agree with himself on that one.
The guy asked for obvious, anyway!!!! ]

Good luck findin' it, kid. Between us bein' the ones with color, ice fairies attackin' us at random points, and bein' thrown into a war- I'd say just about everythin' is an inconsistency.

[ not that it ever really was easy noel finding those wild artefacts sucked okay ]

video [old] do you appreciate me contaminating your inbox with stench
It could help.
Um.
[How does he word this? He needs a moment to collect his thoughts.]
Inconsistencies? What do you mean exactly? Weird things happen sometimes. Not for very long though, I guess.
It's strange, but things go back to 'normal' sometimes. The calm peaceful and grey city here is what it's like here normally.
Sorry. I don't really get what you mean.

... That's a pretty broad description. If it's supposed to be "obvious," can't you tell us more than that?

[ then he actually stops searching to pay attention and wait
a
minute
or two ]
You're Hope, right? [ he's more than a little surprised, but somehow not as much as he'd thought. maybe it was because nothing in this place made any sense at all-- but logically, it would have always been possible for serah and him to bump into the people they knew years before they ever 'met'. ]

What do we know? Heh, not enough at this rate. But unless you consider monthly attacks on the place to be inconsistencies, then no.
video;
I guess I'll just have to look around myself. [ which is what he planned on doing anyway, but for such a weird place there's an awful lack of information. ] Hopefully I can avoid these dragons and ice fairies I've been hearing about.
