[Hello, Asgard. Ichigo's looking, well...exhausted, but he looks like he has no intention of stopping anytime soon. He's got a cut on his face, but other than that he looks relatively unharmed...or at the very least he's not showing his injuries on camera.

He's mostly doing this to show people ~~Orihime~~ that yes, he's still alive. He just hasn't had much time to reply to the network. Or check it. At all.]

Dammit....Are these things ever going to stop coming?

[He shakes his head.]

How's everyone doing? We haven't lost anyone, right?

[Because, uh. That's a concern, okay?]

Look, I'm going to keep smashing these things apart all around the city. If any of you guys need help, don't be afraid to ask-I'll get there as soon as I can.

Action

[And true to his word, Ichigo can be found around out in the city, not staying in one particular distric too long. ~~He's going to run himself ragged, good lord.~~ . His speed power is still slower and less reliable than the Shunpo he's used to, but he's not letting it get in his way, busy fighting all those stupid fairies. Feel free to run into him, save him from one he doesn't notice, make him take a break, or whatever! ]

_{[As Ichigo passes through the Freya district, Cocona can be found fighting her own battle. Although she can't use Song Magic in Asgard, she never really relied on that all too much, which is why she's fighting them with her V-Board.

She's doing pretty well on her own, too, but she can probably owe that to all of that training she did to join the knights of Grand Bell.

In any case, after clearing her own group, Cocona notices Ichigo fighting more fairies... as one that she's not sure he knows is behind him. Well, she'll take care of that.]}

Hey! You alright there?

[He stops for a second, watching Cocona fight with her V-board. That shit is cool. And he appreciates the help!]

Yeah, so far! What about you?

[Brb slashing through another fairy.]

I'm fine! I just hope they don't rough up my board too much, since Sasha's not here to look at it for me.

_{[And it would, you know, really suck.]}

Friend of yours back home?

[Let's just have a casual conversation while fighting, hell yeah.]

[ Freya's not entirely sure how she managed to get a decent hold on this stupidly heavy box, but now that she has, she's stumble-tossed it into the face of one of the small, beautifully formed faeries who had broken off from several of its group in order to chase another woman who had been trying to get back from her neighbor's house.

Now she's stumbled and caught herself on her hands and knees, in her best ragged, bloody dress, and scrambles to her feet as the dazed faerie lies prone on the ground. Partly on top of it is a fairly decent microwave. (To Freya, little more than a strange box that was weirdly tied to the wall.) Breathing heavily with adrenaline and a fine dusting of near-panic, she looks up to make sure the woman got away. ]

[...did he just watch an ice fairy get hit with a microwave?

Yes. Yes he did.

Don't mind him, he'll just be zooming over, stabbing the fairy through the head as it lays stunned. After that's done-and he's tugged his longsword out of it-he'll be turning to look at Freya.]

...Why did you hit it with a microwave?

[ Freya jerks back at Ichigo's sudden appearance and neat finish of the faerie. Glancing between him and the ice creature, she seems surprised. ]

Is that what you call that box? I didn't know.

[ Now she's not sure if she should pick it up and drag it back inside. Probably, so after a wary glance at the ice faerie, and a quick scan of the area, she steps forward and ducks down to try to lift the stupid thing again. ]

Thank you for that. [ A glance to the faerie as she balances the microwave. ] Have you been running around all of the city like this?

[He doesn't pay attention to her surprise-he's been getting looks like that all the time, as the residents of the city aren't exactly used to an orange-haired blur zooming by.]

Yeah. It heats things up.

[Of course, that's when it's plugged in. He watches her pick up the microwave, frowning a bit. She's not going to try and use that for a weapon again, is she?]

No problem.

Pretty much, yeah. I've been trying to take out as many of these things as I can. What about you?

[ She glances at the box in her arms, brow furrowing slightly as she does so. ]

How? I've never heard of such a thing.

[ If she starts carrying it back into the kitchen. Tidying up after oneself is decent manners, and apparently... this box is a warming box. She can see that being useful considering the turn of the weather lately.

She shakes her head, as if denying the fact Ichigo's been out and around offing faeries all day. ]

I've done my best to stay out of the way. I don't like being kept inside, but it's only been a day. I just...

[ She pauses, still moving forward. ]

I couldn't stand by right then.

[ And she's not sure why. ]

[At least she's going to put it back?

But he listens to her, nodding slightly. He could understand her feelings-he personally couldn't sit still when the fairies, came, but...

Well, she said it herself: not everyone is meant to be fighters.

And not only that, but she, like him, couldn't just stand around and watch a person who needs help suffer.]

Well, at least you were a good shot with it.

[He grins, slightly.]

But I can probably find you a better weapon, if you want one.

[ She wants to say no. Shifting her microwave burden as she moves back into the kitchen, she's tempted to deflect, shake her head and apologise. She's been on the end of the one who kills. She doesn't think of these faeries as dying in a way that is morally reprehensible -- they continue to attack as the response escalates, and they're dangerous and giving the impression of being willing to take things too far.

In the defense of their homes and safety, people were reacting appropriately.

Yet to willingly turn toward fighting in a land she feels is as close to a land of the dead as any need to be? Not everyone is meant to survive. She takes that to mean so many of them already haven't, but are needed for this war that is so much more immense than anything she's dealt with before.

Cold feet on the cold floor of the kitchen, Freya makes herself nod. ]

I don't know if I want one... but I should learn. Fighter or not, being able to defend is a skill we should all have.

[ She offers Ichigo a small, sincere smile. ]

How long have you really been running over town?

[He nods, glad that she's taking this seriously. He could understand not wanting to fight, but everyone here needed the skills to at least defend themselves.]

I'd be willing to teach you some self defense. ...Not right now, though.

[Because, you know. FAIRIES.

As to her question, he looks...surprised for a moment.]

....I don't know. I...think since the tempurature dropped.

[ A small smile curls her lips up at the corner, as her eyes look toward the counter. ]

No, I imagine right now wouldn't be the ideal time.

[ Time to set down the microwave, and she does so -- tentatively, balancing it on the edge and then pushing it further back with her torso acting as a sort of support until it was resting properly. ]

I felt you might have been. Have you eaten?

[Does the loud gurgle tip you off, Freya? He just looks sheepishly away, scratching the back of his head.]

Ah....No?

[He'd given no thought to it until now, honestly.]

[ Part of her wants to laugh. Not a large part, but it's the sort of answer she expects. With the microwave safely settled, she steps back, smoothing down the front of her gown. Borrowed, flecked with the dark, dried bloodstains... ah, yes.

Height of fashion, she guessed. ]

You'll need to keep your energy up, if you plan to keep running like this.

[ She knows from personal experience. ]

Bread, cheese, a bit of meat if we can find any.

[ The pantry doesn't seem to have any of that.

And she hasn't really looked through the lighted, frightening box of cold. ]

Yeah, that sounds good.

[He suddenly frowns as he sees the bloodstains, pointing a finger out at them.]

Are you alright?

[Aka is that your blood and am I going to have to drag you to a hospital.]

Hmm?

[ She looks up at him, puzzled at first. It takes a moment to understand where he's pointing, then to look down at herself and have her mouth open into a little oh of understanding. ]

It's nothing, an old stain that refuses to come out. From before here.

[ If that's probably not the most reassuring thing to say. Still, she doesn't let that hold her in place, turning away and moving toward the pantry where she knows she's seen bread. No telling how fresh, but heat or mead could help soften up the stalest. ]

[Ichigo's not the only one taking advantage of their Thor-given powers; Chie's been busy punting fairies since this whole fiasco started. it's a good thing she'd gotten greaves when the dragon was around; otherwise, her legs would be ragged by now. as she shatters the fairy right in front of her, she sees the near blur that's Ichigo speeding by. recognizing him, she attempts to stop him, other fairies luckily at bay.]

Hey, Ichigo! Where are you headed?

Hn? Oh, hey Chie!

[Yes, he's talking casually as he slices up some nearby ice fairies. These things are barely dangerous to him, honestly. They're not even on the same level as your garden-variety hollow, and they're only dangerous when they gang up.]

I don't really know.

[HE'S JUST. KILLING THEM.]

[...well, Chie can't really argue with that. that's her M.O. right now too, after all.]

Need a hand?

If you can keep up.

[He says it with a sharp grin-it's pretty much a challenge, but made playfully. Let's do this thing, Chie.]

What, are you saying you don't think I can?

[oh, it's on now.]

I dunno-you tell me.

[On like DONKEY KONG.]

Oh, I'll do more than just tell you!

[oh, hey, look! their little conversation has attracted a stray fairy! LET'S GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD.]

[Awww yeah!]

Then come on!

[LET'S RUSH HEADLONG AT IT.

That poor fairy. It didn't deserve this.]

[WRONG PLACE AT THE WRONG TIME... anyway, Chie just nods in response to his suggestion and dashes right at the fairy. when she's gotten close to it, she leaps...]

Hi-yaaaah!

[and kicks it right in the center of its body. ouch on its part.]

[and just as her foot reaches the center of the fairy's body, ichigo's sword goes through the fairy's head.

You know what Ice does in this situation? It cracks.]

Heh, not bad.

Same to you!

[she grins as she touches back down, hopping from foot to foot to keep herself ready to go.]

You were doubting me?

Maybe just a little.

[He switches his sword to his other hand so he can flex it, then switches back.]

Not many people act like they know how to fight around here, so...

Probably because they've never had to before.

{Laura has been keeping her claws out for the majority of the past two days, only retracting them (after a wash, of course) to eat, sleep and attend to personal hygiene.

She's been staying in the shadows and on rooftops, typically, ambushing the fairies to stab them in the neck before darting out of reach of the pain and frosbite that comes from touching them with one's skin. She's also been working on her shadow manipulation. Sharp, claw-like constructs are the easiest things for her to form with the shadows anyhow. It gives her extra distance, at least.

It's during one of these ambushes that she encounters Ichigo fighting the fairies at high speeds.]

[Ichigo doesn't notice Laura at first, busy with some fairies that thought they'd be able to get the drop on him.

They thought wrong.

That, and that he's generally not on the rooftops much, his speed still not enough to gain enough momentum to be able to make a gigantic leap up.

Slash, slash, shatter. Man, these things go down easy.]

[Laura is mildly impressed with the speed at which he's moving at. Certainly, it's making the fight quite efficient, and she understands the value of expediency in combat.

Several more of the fairies go down courtesy of her shadow manipulation. This is as good a time as any to test it out, even if she prefers her claws. She only wishes she still had her healing factor.]

[Ichigo's battles back home were fought at incredibly fast speeds, So it's just normal to him to fight quickly. Especially against things like this-the only thing he wishes is that he was a little faster.

Finally though, he notices that the shadows around are doing really weird things. So he stops, and looks around, wondering if someone else if doing that...or if the fairies are.]

[A second later, two spikes shoot through an ice fairy each. She's still creeping around the shadows, but when she notices that Ichigo has paused, she reveals herself. Hooking her hands onto the rooftop ledge, she lets herself drop tidily down in front of him, greeting him silently with a nod.]

[...Whoa. That's cool. He grins at her, Shattering yet another fairy as he does.]

Thanks.

[For helping him out, that is.]

[The gloves she's wearing serve several purposes. For one, they make it look like the blades in her hands are coming out of the gloves instead. They're also soaking up any of the blood that the bandages she's been keeping around her hands don't manage to catch. Finally, they're also keeping her hands warm, because it is cold out here.

When a fairy approaches her, its throat is introduced to adamantium, letting it bleed for a couple of seconds before it turns to ice and shatters when it hits the ground.]

You are efficient in combat.

[ Can someone feel both relief and fear at the same time? Because Orihime's practically choking on hers, the moment she sees his face flicker on screen... and then his words sink in.

Jumping up on her bed - where she's been staying put this entire time, since the last time everyone had given her grief about running around - she all but crashes into her own screen just to try and get to him. ]

K-Kurosaki-kun! What are you doing, that's dangerous!!

What do you mean?

[Sorry, he...doesn't really see them as dangerous. All they can do is scratch you, outnumber you, and give you frostbite. The most basic hollow is more dangerous to him.

Also he's totally killing them AS HE'S TALKING. Because that's how he do.]

[ "What do you mean"? What do you mean "what do you mean"!? ]

This is part of that dragon's warning! You don't know what those things are capable of and - and I don't have my Shun Shun Rikka here, I can't heal you if you get hurt--!

[Inoue couldn't heal? Well, that...seemed weird, but-]

Don't worry-I'll be alright, Inoue.

[Look, you even get a grin!]

They're not that bad as far.

[ Ahhh there's still so much she has to tell you--! ]

But - Kurosaki-kun - things are different here--!

[ That's it, you're forcing her out of her room now-- ]

I know, but I-

[OH WHOOPS THE FEED JUST CUT OFF, looks like a fairy got too close to his bracelet.]

[ jlkJALKSJLKSJALKSJALK YOU CAN'T JUST DO THAT--!

You can be rest assured, then, that Orihime is bursting out of her house now just to look for you...! ]
