If you're anything like the man I know, Mr. Sherlock Holmes -- and I rather think you are -- then there is nothing you enjoy more than a good dissection. Well, have I got the present for you.

[Look! Watson's been collecting bits of ice-faerie. None are whole, unfortunately, but there's enough identifiable pieces to do an ... autopsy.]

Are they organic? Or are they completely made out of ice?

As far as I know, they're just giant ice cubes. No organs, no nothin'.

Great. Giant ice cubes fortified by magic that don't melt properly.

They're clearly water-based frozen forms -- they're melting, not evaporating, but they're as freezing as dry-ice.

Pretty much. Nothin' special 'bout them once they're dead.

So they're just giant ice cubes moved by magic.

[Sam is unimpressed.]

So -- what, extensive damage breaks the spell?

Yep.

[Bobby sounds just as impressed.]

Could be. Seems like the magic powering these things only make 'em have some immunity to magical attacks.

Which is ... great, when that's our major source of artillery.

From what I gather, some of these people knew how to fight before arrivin'. Some of 'em probably know how to make weapons.
