[Look who has got over his reservation over your 'video function' and is expressing himself via the medium of moving pictures? Watson -- no, no. The other Watson -- with the moustache? Yeah, him. He looks pretty pleased with himself.]

If you're anything like the man I know, Mr. Sherlock Holmes -- and I rather think you are -- then there is nothing you enjoy more than a good dissection. Well, have I got the present for you.

[Look! Watson's been collecting bits of ice-faerie. None are whole, unfortunately, but there's enough identifiable pieces to do an ... autopsy.]

I'll be bringing these over to -- it's Odin, isn't it? Watson, is, of course, welcome to attend. As is anyone with an interest in figuring these things out.

((ooc: open to action/all sorts of hi-jinks))

Here.

[Bobby pushes a body he isn't inspecting over to Sam.]

Ain't like anythin' I've seen before.

Giant ice fairies aren't exactly the most common monsters on the block of weird that we live on.

[Sam is quiet for a second or two before he eyes the beings.]

Are they organic? Or are they completely made out of ice?
damnidjits: (gdit)

[personal profile] damnidjits 2012-02-24 04:59 am (UTC)(link)
As far as I know, they're just giant ice cubes. No organs, no nothin'.
smartwinchester: (Ten shades of screwed.)

[personal profile] smartwinchester 2012-02-24 08:02 am (UTC)(link)
Great. Giant ice cubes fortified by magic that don't melt properly.

[Sam scowls to himself.]

They're clearly water-based frozen forms -- they're melting, not evaporating, but they're as freezing as dry-ice.
damnidjits: (Nice try with the bullshit.)

[personal profile] damnidjits 2012-02-26 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
Pretty much. Nothin' special 'bout them once they're dead.
smartwinchester: (Are you serious?)

[personal profile] smartwinchester 2012-02-27 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
So they're just giant ice cubes moved by magic.

[Sam is unimpressed.]

So -- what, extensive damage breaks the spell?
damnidjits: (I'm listening.)

[personal profile] damnidjits 2012-02-27 07:21 am (UTC)(link)
Yep.

[Bobby sounds just as impressed.]

Could be. Seems like the magic powering these things only make 'em have some immunity to magical attacks.
smartwinchester: (That isn't what it says here.)

[personal profile] smartwinchester 2012-02-27 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Which is ... great, when that's our major source of artillery.
damnidjits: (Real cute.)

[Have an exasperated, "Is the cold killing what few brain cells you have?" look.]

Ain't you forgettin' somethin' here? We're hunters. Not to mention plenty of people don't necessarily rely on this [He waves his hand around to indicate 'magic'.] crap.

Idjit.
smartwinchester: (Set phasers to swag.)

I know that, but the rest of these people aren't, and I don't exactly see an armory around here that we have access to.

[Somewhat huffily.]

From what I gather, some of these people knew how to fight before arrivin'. Some of 'em probably know how to make weapons.

[Stop being a downer, Sam. 8|]
