[The video screen turns on, and there's a woman with impeccably styled purple hair leaning … a little too close to the screen. After a moment she backs up, and squints a little, adjusting her red-rimmed glasses. If you look closely, you might see behind her several dress forms with garments on them, in various states of completion.]

Ah … yes, I think it's working! Hello!

Yes, so I had a few things to give to some people … after everyone was so kind and generous to me upon my arrival, I simply couldn't let that kindness go unrewarded!

So! If I could speak to Eshkol and Souji Seta, please? I'm afraid yours are the only ones I have finished, but anyone else who helped me on my first day here would be welcome to see what I've been working on for you!

Yeah, it's pretty easy to prick yourself. I can show you how to use a thimble, too, if you want.

Yeah, it's a little metal cap you wear over one of your fingers to keep from pricking yourself. It's a bit tricky, but once you're more used to handstitching, you don't have to use it anymore.

Oh, really? What's their name?

That sounds very handy! I keep pricking myself ... [holds up a bandaged thumb :'(]

Her name is Applejack! Perhaps you've met?

[She grins, but not mockingly - more like bandaged fingers are a fond memory.]

Yeah, we'll get you a thimble. You can go a lot faster when you're not afraid of that.

Applejack? [Weird name, but moving on.] No... there's a lot of people in my house, sorry. If I meet her, though, I'll tell her I met - um, what's your name?

Rarity... that's a nice name. [Smiling shyly.] It's nice to meet you, too. My name's Mako Nakarai, but I go by Nakama.

Nakama is a lovely name as well! [beams at her] Are you doing alright here so far?

Oh! Um, thank you. [Blushing.] My friends back home gave me that nickname. It's Japanese for close friends or allies, the kind that are like second family.

And yeah, I think so... a lot of the people here are really nice, and my house is full of really helpful people, so I don't feel as alone as I thought I would. [A bit of awe at that, really.] How about you? I mean, suddenly being a human must be weird, but other than that...?

Japanese? The meaning makes it that much better!

That sounds very nice, then ... I have been settling in well, I suppose. I am still learning new things about humans every day.
