[She says this completely flippantly, like it's totally normal to live on a planet where one wrong move means you're dead. But then considering she's kicked death in the face once or twice, she doesn't really mind it.]

Well... our sun is so strong most of our kind can't come out during the day, or we'll get hurt by it. Most of the fauna are enormous and could easily eat or kill a troll by themselves...

[A pause to think, and then-]

Most of us- though there were a couple of adults here the last time I checked...

[She fiddles idly with a lock of her hair, twisting it around her fingers.]

We have Lusii- they're these beasts assigned to take care of us once we finish the trials in the breeding caverns. They help us stay alive and we help take care of them.

We also learn to fight from them, to an extent. Some of us just teach ourselves. We kind of have to.

[He might be wanting to take care of her already. Damn kids and their cuteness.]

[Don't mind the nosiness, it's practically ingrained into him from his job.]

Y'know someone by the name, Vriska Serket?

[A lot of the troll kids are pretty cute.]

It depends- lusii vary by troll, because they usually only pick up ones who share their blood color.

[She makes a slight face at the mention of Vriska, but nods her head.]

Vriska's lusus, for example, was a giant spider, but our friend Tavros' lusus was a cute fairy bull. Um... I should probably let you know that the troll word for 'friend' and 'enemy' are pretty interchangeable, so sometimes when we say it, we might not mean it the way you do.

[He takes note of Aradia's expression.]

Vriska's not your best buddy?

[He's read of something like the lusii, so it's not too surprising.]

[Is she talking about frenemies like Paris and Nicole?]

[Aradia probably even likes the guy who tried to control the emotions of her previous robot body with a chip in her heart more than she likes Vriska.]

['Frenemies' is putting it way lightly. They've kind of murdered each other before, indirectly.]

Well... for example- Sam and Tavros are my friends, and they're great. But Vriska's just... my friend, sort of. You know?

[He will be keeping that reaction in mind. Damnit Sam, who are you making friends with now? Bobby doesn't trust the trolls yet, but he will probably believe Aradia over Vriska. At the moment anyway.]

[Her smile is as reassuring as she can make it- because really, she can handle Vriska, most people just don't believe she can.]
