Um, I think that maid tried to explain what's going on, but I didn't really get it. [ as in, she wasn't paying attention. ] So could anyone fill me in? And tell me if you meet a guy named Nick! He'll probably introduce himself as Phoenix or Wright, but just call him Nick! Oh! One more thing! Is there any place to get burgers around here? I'm starving!

I'm Mary. [Holding out a hand.] What's yours?

Maya! [ Maya extends her hand as well, and happily shakes the other's. ] Um, can I ask you a question? How long have you been here?

Just a few days. I'm still really new.

Oh, I see. So we are really stuck here, huh?

[Unhappily:] Yeah, it looks like it.

What do you think about getting those burgers, Maya?

Ah! So there are places to get them here?

[ She smiles, but after a moment, it falls to a frown.. ]

It's okay, I have a little. I just got a job a few days ago, and convinced them to pay me daily instead of weekly.

[Faceless bosses are easy to push around. If unsettling.]

Come on. And don't be weirded out if... almost everyone you see is faceless.

Faceless? Like the maid? It's kinda creepy, but I guess I could get used to it!

It's pretty creepy, considering I'm used to anything nonhuman being dangerous back home, but I'm getting used to it. Apparently they maybe used to be people?

I've.. never talked to anything nonhuman.

[ Unless you count the souls of dead people.. ]

'Used' to be? You don't think.. we'll end up like that, do you?

I don't know, I don't think so. But nobody seems to know for sure.
