[ The teenage boy on the screen seems calm enough. He's not panicking or angry or anything. Just thoughtful. When he speaks, his voice is clear but has a soft, quiet tone to it. ]

Talking to people got me thinking. How many people here have saved the world before? Or maybe done something not as dramatic but still very important?

[ There's a pause, as if he's expecting immediate replies. He blinks when there are none. Right, time to continue. ]

It seems like many of us are from different worlds. But some of us are from the same world, but different times. Is there is anyone from Iwatodai or Port Island, Japan? If so, speak up and let me know what the date was when you left, please.

[ He nods once, goes to shut the feed off, then seems to think better of it for a moment. ] My name is Minato Arisato. Nice to meet you all.

[ The smile the video feed catches is more relieved than particularly welcoming. Maybe soon he'd be able to get some answers. ]

Sounds familiar. Twice seems like overkill.

You would think after the first time, people who are supposed to be dead would stay dead and not try to destroy the world again, but nooooooo. That makes too much sense.

[Since he asked, it's logical to guess he did, too. Right?]

[Everyone immediately smiles at her here. It's strange and wonderful. Her face softens a little, but she doesn't quite smile yet.]

Well... it's complicated. There were fifteen of us, and there'll be fifteen battles - and I was only the fourth. So I don't know yet. But the first four of us won.

Because they want us to save this world, too...

That's what you're thinking. [Merlin tilts his head, looking for confirmation.]

What can you trust if you can't trust that people or things will stay dead...?

[ The thought is sort of distressing. It makes him doubt the Seal, a bit. What if that wasn't a permanent solution, either? ]

[ a sigh. ] I'm not really sure if my singing would help again. Unless there are vajras in this place, then I highly doubt it.

People who can kick major butt and a lot of healing spells?

It might be possible we're not from the same place.

[ And there's a pause. ] Plus I don't watch the news too often.

[ He get it. Text is a little easier than face to face. He learned that playing Innocent Sin Online. Those interactions had come somewhat easier to him than meeting others face to face. ]

understandable if it's a place you've never heard of. yeah, I did. me and my friends. I couldn't have done it without them.
