two glyphs // text // day 405
First, please allow me to extend my sympathies to those who were injured while remaining within Asgard these last few days.
For those who made the journey to Ginnungagap, I wish to solicit any reactions or discoveries from the trip. While I found it a disappointing trek in some regards, it is possible other Travelers saw more productive results.
As regards my own thoughts on the matter: I'm sorry to say that if any notable artifacts remained within the site, I was unable to locate them, and of course, we did not have the tools necessary for a proper excavation. Speaking of which, if anyone reading has background in archaeology or related disciplines, I entreat you to contact me. I should like to investigate the possibility of organizing an archaeological team for future journeys, but I sincerely doubt the majority of the population will be convinced to read Sirs Petrie or Maspero in preparation for the task. Any such team would need more field experience than I alone can provide. [Especially since her legitimate, on-the-books field experience is rather paltry.]
Finally, for those students enrolled in my Latin and ancient Greek courses: Please be advised that, beginning this week, Mr. Kyle Booth will be assisting with marking assignments and class lectures. I expect that you will all show him the respect his not insignificant skill for these languages deserves; our studies will no doubt be enriched by his presence and knowledge.

As for me, I'm not an archaeologist, but I have extensive experience being a patron for such expeditions.

Patronage is a worthy endeavour as well, but I'd like to think the gods might be convinced to take that role here.
no subject
I am merely informing you of my level of experience. Which needs to be extensive if I'm not about to be conned!

I dearly hope, for the sake of all your students, I will not be expected to give lectures.
no subject
I shan't expect you to do anything you'd rather not do, of course. I simply thought you might like the opportunity to share your knowledge more directly as well.
no subject
I only know I would be a very poor lecturer. If there is any information you need me to submit, I would be happy to do so in written form, for your perusal, to distribute how you see fit.

Besides, there is potential for us to learn more about Asgard through its past...though I think we should focus our attentions on artifacts rather than rocks.

He's trying.
So help him, he's trying.

permatext;
How was the trip, other than "somewhat disappointing?"

As insubstantial as our findings were, the countryside was quite pretty. Rough, but pretty.
