By now, I'm sure you've all heard about Professor Snape's school. I'd like to make some inquiries to determine the viability of a specific course.
Would any of our potential students be interested in a course on ancient Egyptian rites and rituals, one which featured a term-long mummification project? I imagine baby crocodiles might be the easiest option for mummification (I'm not sure I could stomach mummifying cats, and humans are, of course, right out), but the specific animal will depend on a number of factors.
Students for such a class would ideally be at least fifteen years old, though exceptions might be made for unusual cases. In addition to the matter of actually mummifying an animal, students should expect two hours of lecture and discussion per week and reading assignments throughout the term, as well as a final exam.
Please let me know if you'd be interested in participating in this class.
Regardless of your interest in this particular course offering, I hope you'll all consider attending the school.

Evelyn Carnahan. It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Stilinski.
no subject
[Don't get his hopes up like that, Evie.]
Ditto. You a teacher back home?
no subject
Not quite; I'm a librarian. But I thought I'd try my hand at teaching.

We all need something to do when we're not dying, right?
no subject
Ideally, we won't be dying, either. But yes--essentially.
no subject
Ideally no one would ever die here, but my record's at twice so far, but hey, as long as whatever you're teaching doesn't involve stabbing me in the face or something, I'm game.
no subject
Twice? Oh, my--you have my condolences. As well as my assurance that there will be no stabbing in my classes.
no subject
That would be great, thanks.
That would also be great. I'm really keen on not winding up dead again.
no subject
No, I can't imagine you would be. If you don't mind my asking, how did it happen?

I wouldn't suggest it.
