there is sorcery at work here ([personal profile] medicus) wrote in [community profile] asgardeventide2012-12-03 07:37 pm

one - video

[Even though the bracelet had been somewhat explained to Gaius on his arrival, he's still not sure how it's even meant to work. It's in his hands as only Merlin the village idiot would put jewelery from a random stranger on.

And for a good few moments the entire network has a close up of Gaius's trademark stare, one eyebrow already raised. Tremble in fear, judgment is upon you.]

-sted thing. Communication through a bracelet? Are they even sure about that?

[Gaius pulls back from his squinting, putting on a pair of glass so he can...squint harder. This is sorcery even he's never heard of. Well, here goes nothing right? What other options are there? Approximately zero.]

I find it very hard to believe this thing is even useful for anything. Who is hearing this?

Strange, isn't it? I thought much the same thing.

Indeed, such things were quite unheard of where I came from. There had been legends of similar devices, but I never dreamed...

Ah, but I digress. I am Wynne, my good man. Do you need any sort of assistance?
circlesewn: (You can achieve)

[Wynne is simultaneously one of the nicest and sassiest old ladies you'll ever meet.]

Your own town not a fan of magic, I presume? [Because that could be a sentiment she is all too familiar with, if that was the case.] And if that's the case, I suppose I can't offer much more than my own company until they arrive. No doubt they'd reach you faster than these old bones would.
circlesewn: (Than the richest king)

[Asgard will bow before the might of sassy old people.

But oh, goodness, death? As a mage, this horrifies her. Ferelden's own views of magic held a similar root, but simply having the talent mark you for death? It's not quite there yet.]

...We seem to come from places with similar viewpoints, my good man. Though my homeland has not quite gone completely down that path, I am sure no small number of citizens would dearly wish it were otherwise.

[They'd better, or they risk a good finger-wagging.]

I can only imagine, with a name like "The Great Purge". It doesn't sound particularly pleasant.
