[ Someone was awfully busy today! On the side of Hel's Welcome House, Painwheel has set up a small vegetable garden. Right now she's in the middle of setting up little signs to indicate where certain plants are growing. Looks like she's got tomatoes, onions, and carrots set up. It's a very small modest garden but Painwheel actually seems to be enjoying herself. She's even traded in her old ratted hospital gown for this dress, the choice being made quite obviously because of the wheel sticking out of her back. Though, she still hasn't felt the need to take off her mask while outside, it's a strange mixture between cute and downright scary.

After she finishes putting up the small signs, Painwheel fills up a watering can to begin watering the plants. She really hopes that watering her garden everyday will help calm her down enough to live a somewhat normal life. Her anger felt misplaced in Asgard. There were no laboratories or experiments or doctors or anyone else who could tell her what to do. And hopefully, it would stay that way. If not, she'd deal with it when she needed to. ]

[ Later on, she'll address the network. Audio only, as usual, sometimes it's nice to be a faceless voice. ]

Does anyone know if we're allowed to keep pets in the welcome houses? I don't think we are... but maybe I could get around it somehow.

[ Ange often slips out of the area with a lot of people to wander around the rest of the district - most of the people in Hel aren't tolerable for long periods, after all - but that's also when she manages to pass by the small garden. It's enough to catch her interest, at the very least, especially when she recognizes the one working on it as well. ]

[ Someone's a bit embarrassed even though she should have seen this coming. After all, they live in the same house. ]

Yeah, this is mine. I've been meaning to do this for awhile but I just got all the seeds together...

I guess it's a good way to keep yourself occupied without having to deal with annoying people. [ So far she doesn't seem like she's judging - at least not negatively, either way. ]

Did you like doing this sort of thing back home too?

I used to, a long time ago. When I had time to do this kind of thing...

I've been left with a lot of free time since most of my plans have been uh... put on hold?

Put on hold..? Because of you being dragged into this place or already earlier back home?

I have to say you did seem like the type who wouldn't let anything get in their way, yes. That's a pretty good trait to have though. [ Ange is the same, after all. ]

[ yup, that totally was a compliment. straight out admitting it was is a little more difficult for her though, but if Painwheel is just as awkward about it as she is it's easier.. ]

I'm just telling the truth. You're one of the less bothersome people to talk to here [ which means a lot, considering Ange standards.. ] so you deserve to hear it, I guess.

[ blink.. at that a brief look of surprise actually shoots over Ange's face before she tries to force it down to get more to her usual lineface. It only works half though. ]

You can say whatever you want. You could even say 'that was really stupid and untrue' if that's what you really want.

Well, I don't necessarily think it's true, but I wouldn't go around and call that 'stupid'.. I guess.

I guess that's fair. People here think I'm nice and I don't really agree with it either, so I get what you're saying.

I think giving other people compliments by calling them nice is a nice thing, yeah. But I'll refrain from saying it to you too directly, or we'll just be trapped in a loop of telling the other they're nice while not believing it about ourselves.

I'm fine with that. I mean the whole circle thing just sounds kinda awkward anyway.

That's right. It's much better to avoid awkward topics. [ or rather, they're just too similar in this that it gets turned into an awkward topic.. ]

Compared to that, your garden here is definitely more interesting. And a lot less awkward.

Uh. yeah, my garden. Well I used to enjoy stuff like this a lot so I thought I'd pick it up again. I have a lot of free time here and I'm not used to it. [ What since she's not busy trying to get revenge and all ]

It's not too bad of a thing. You just need to make sure no stupid people will try to pull a prank by running all over it or something. I wouldn't put it past some of our House's residents, after all.

If anyone does that I'll just give them a piece of my mind.

[ One fist smacks into an open hand; it's pretty clear that Painwheel is willing to defend her garden with violence. ]

Good. I trust you to be pretty capable of that. [ Painwheel doesn't seem like the type who'd make empty threats, after all. ]

[ Ange reads Painwheel well, she doesn't do the empty threat thing at all. But someone is getting a bit worked up over the idea of something so minor. If you didn't know better, steam might start coming out of her ears. ]

[ .. That does surprise Ange a little - but maybe the garden just means a lot to Painwheel? Enough to get this worked up over it.. ]

Unfortunately there are plenty of people who would do that. [ Her own calm doesn't waver though, and she speaks bluntly. ] A lot of people thrive on hurting others to make themselves feel better.

[ Painwheel calms down a bit at that, but it's a strange kind of calm. It doesn't really feel peaceful, that's for sure. ]

Yeah, I already know about people like that.

Then you should know that they reside in this place as well. As they do in any place.
