tres [Filtered away from SPN!Lucifer except for that last part]
[When the camera turns on, one might be taken aback...hey, isn't this the same guy who just posted on the network a while ago, making popular culture references and speaking about being in Hel house? What's odd, though, is that he doesn't have those scars on his face anymore...if this is a different person, though, he looks exactly like the previous one, right down to those piercing blue eyes and calm voice.]
Some of you might be wondering why I'm making a post on the network again so quickly. You have undoubtedly already talked to me, haven't you? Some of you may already know what I am.
[A slight sigh.] Well...I want to say, that that man who made the post before and I are two different people.
[He lets that sink in, knowing that it will be hard for people to believe him at first, considering that, not only does he look like the King of Darkness, but also sounds like him and even acts like him, to a certain extent.]
My name is Jacob. And that man who looks like me...he's Lucifer. If you do not know who Lucifer is due to the fact you have no concept of him in your world, let me just say that Lucifer is another name for the Devil. As in, the personficiation of evil as well as the ruler of the Underworld and, in some cases, all the souls of the dead.
Basically...Lucifer is not good in the usual sense. Be careful before talking to him. He may be friendly and nice and charming...but never let your guard down. He is a being who does not associate with human beings in a good way, from what I've heard.
[He realizes, ironically, that some of what he just said fits him as well. He glances away from the camera, slightly frowning.]
I realize my presence will make it hard to tell which one of us is which, especially if he finds a way to cure his scars...so, if you choose to avoid me because of him, then I'll be fine with it. I understand. It might even be for the best, considering we look so similar.
[A saddened pause- Jacob does love people, so saying that they should avoid him hurts just a bit.] It's a sacrifice I'm willing to take if it means that you all will stay out of harm's way.
And please, don't try to think you're better than he is and try to act like you're the better one here. He is more powerful than you know.
[And he just gives a nod before switching on the filter.]
[Filtered to the Lucifer who knows Sam Winchester and Castiel]
[Jacob's tone is as calm as ever as he speaks, his smile back again as if it never left.]
If it isn't a bother, after you've moved in, you wouldn't mind talking over a cup of tea in one of the districts?
Just to politely get to know each other, of course.
[/end filter]

[But he doesn't sound it. Actually, he sounds pretty amused—Watching this little drama unfurl is an unexpected entertainment for him, and one that's very convenient. How nice, that there's another Devil, another of himself, to make this situation better turned toward his advantage.]
A warning against one Lucifer, but not the other? It sounds like I need to do better.
[He won't, of course, but that's because he has better things to do with his time. Like figure out how to set his bathroomate on fire.]

I'm sorry if I did offend you in any way. But you don't look like me, so there's no trouble in anybody mistaking you for me and vice versa.
Besides, you haven't done anything as of yet to make me pass a bad judgment on you. I can't go against you for playing the piano well, can I?

[He smiles, slightly] And I understand why you would feel the need to clarify your role. I'm sure that Mr. Bowie would be a bit taken aback to discover that he might as well be a twin to the Devil as well.
[There's a pause as he considers which path to take this conversation, but settles for the less threatening of the two]
It's bad for my eventual business for those previously unaware to been more enlightened.

[He just leans back in his chair, looking completely unpeturbed by this turn of events.]
Eventual business? And what business would that be?
no subject
A bar and lounge. If I were to be hopeful, it would be a piano bar, but I can't hope for miracles considering my eventual clientele.
no subject
That seems odd. Lucifer himself opening a bar and lounge? How come? Do you just like the night life that much?
no subject
It's something of an amusement to pass the time. That, and being in a position of financial and social power should it succeed can only be to my benefit.
[He smiles] There's that, and the fact that none of the bars in Asgard are quite to my taste. It's an untapped market that benefits the residents and myself.
no subject
[So Lucifer himself got just as bored as ordinary people did. How interesting.]
How do you propose you'll get people to come if they know you're the one in charge?
no subject
[He says this like the answer is clear and obvious, and almost doesn't elaborate. But after a moment to consider it, he sees no harm.]
I proposed opening Lux, and it was met with a positive reaction. There is a sizable portion of the travelers that know nothing of me, and an equally sizable portion that do, but do not care. That alone is enough to secure a fair patronage. But beyond that, those that do seem to hold issue with my identity will still be welcome there, provided they do not cause any trouble for myself or my patrons.
Perhaps I have grander plans with opening a bar. Or perhaps I simply want to open a bar. Either way, it is largely irrelevant to the people here. My interest lays with the gods who brought us here. There's very little otherwise.
no subject
[A cryptic sort of smile.]
But the reason why I do not believe so readily in your "bar for a sake of a bar" explanation is that, in a way, I'm more similar to you than you might realize. And I know that beings such as ourselves do not do things for the sake of doing them, or simply because we're bored.
There is always a larger plan behind what we do.
no subject
You're correct. If we are as similar as you claim, then that comes as a surprise.
[There's no question to what he is, because he doesn't need to ask. The answer will come with time.]
But I am glad to see the surprise come with shrewdness on your part. Otherwise I could only reject what you say, for no being similar to I would accept such a simple explanation. But we'll see. The larger plan is still being formed. There are quite a few bumps along the way. Like another Lucifer that shares your face, as one example.
SORRY FOR THE LATE
[He nods, as if storing away what Lucifer is saying into his mind for further examination later.]
Of course you would have met. Like attracts like...But why do you talk about him as if he is an obstacle? Wouldn't he support your larger plans, as you say?
