[Mint green hair and golden eyes are probably the first thing people see once the feed starts up, only for the camera to quickly zoom out to reveal two boys, the pair of them evidently sitting in the Sigyn common room if the surroundings are anything to go by. The first of them, mister green hair, is waving quite enthusiastically.]

Hey there Asgard! Nice to meet you all! I’m Hizumi Mizushiro, and I just got here recently with my friend here, Ayumu Narumi. We’re still kinda confused on a lotta things, so I was hopin’ some kind folks could fill us in.

[The second of them, a boy with spiky brown hair, seems far less energetic, but he’s quite polite when addressing the feed. Tucked next to him is… a crutch, oddly enough.]

For one thing…can someone at least explain why I can’t seem to heal my own wounds? I was told I was given healing magic, but it doesn’t seem to work.

[Only because he’s tried it on himself, so far.]

[Hizumi takes the opportunity to push in front for a moment.]

Also, can someone fill me in on the gods here? I mean, it’s kinda weird showing up in a place and gettin’ told you’re staying in Hel.

[Like. He gets that he’s the devil and all but really? Really???]

But anyway, if someone can heal up Ayumu here first, that’d be great. Movin’ around with a crutch all the time - well, it’s not always the easiest thing to do. Especially with the stairs.

[He gives Ayumu a few sympathetic pats on the shoulder.]

I’m fine, it’s just a pain that’s all.

[He seems a little put out by Hizumi outright asking for help for him, but he was at least right, it was a pain. Stressing the still healing wounds probably wasn’t what the doctor ordered.]

[Hizumi chuckles. They haven’t even known each other that long, but he’s getting a feeling this is about par for the course when it comes to Ayumu...]

Well, you heard him! I think that about covers it, so... Lookin’ forwards to gettin’ to know you all!

((OOC: Green is Hizumi and blue is Ayumu. They’ll respond to people separately, but they may also threadjack each others’ conversations for short comments every once in a while!))

And if nobody's contacted you, I can get some poultices together. They're not as good as the healers do, but... what house are you in anyway? Heimdall or Sigyn?

I'm afraid that is not how our house's healing magic works here, sir... You can heal other people in need, but your own sicknesses and injuries can only be relieved by someone else with healing skills.

[She pauses for some seconds, then sighs softly.] ... If you still need healing, I can do so. I live at the Sigyn Welcome Hall and I'm heading back there, even...

...So not the Biblical Hell, just a different one. 'Kay.

[That's... still not all that comforting though. Either way he's getting associated with death, geeze.]

Just what mythos is this supposed to be, anyway?

We can't heal ourselves.....? [Well that hadn't been in the admittedly bare details he's gotten from the maid. No wonder his attempts at using this magic stuff hadn't worked.

The offer to help throws him a bit, though.]

You don't have to if it will be trouble for you. [He didn't know if this magic stuff cost them anything, after all. It still seemed too good to be true that they could just... close people's wounds at will.]

Fill u in on what about gods? there's a bunch of em! which ones look like girls, which ones might randomly hug u without a warning, which ones are honest about being dicks, come on give people something to go on here

Fuck that place. [That mutter might have come off a bit snappish.] The less I spend there, the better.

[Normally he'd discard the thought immediately, but well. He's been magically kidnapped and placed in a new world and given some shiny magical powers, so he'll try to keep open minded.]

Norse, though... I'm not very familiar with any of that, unfortunately.

[There's like... Loki and Thor, right? Also Odin??]

Yes... Those who have been taken into Baldr House can heal their own injuries, as far as I'm aware. Us from Sigyn are chosen to heal others's wounds, but not our own.

[She then realises what he said in his last phrase, and shakes her head per instinct. Then she remembers they can't see her, and a soft sigh follows.] Ah no, no! It's not trouble at all... I was given such skills to help whoever needs it, so it's best this way!

More times than I care to count. i'm half demon. [She shook her head and grunted in irritation.] Don't worry about it, though, if you don't know it well. It's simple. You're stuck on one side of someone else's fight, and honestly these people could use the help.

When it's over you'll go back. Simple as that.

Nah, it's fine. I've had much much worse. Nobody expects it that I really care to talk to, after all. [She chuckled softly.] I wouldn't suggest trying to be canon fodder. On the upside, there's medics, crews that work on rebuilding the city and folks who welcome new people like you.

[Gosh, she's awfully nice for a half demon to boot. Though that's not always necessarily a good thing, either...]

Welcomin' people sounds like fun! Where do I sign up for that?

[It also sounds like the least amount of effort, but surely that's just a coincidence.]

[Well, she preferred to be a cynical human to a half succubus. Admittedly, there was always a hint of suspicion in those eyes...]

There should be a spot in your house to sign up, or somewhere similar. Just say welcome committee and they'll be happy to put you to work, even if there's only a few coming in these days.

Fair enough. Keep in mind that Hel's a place that most folks are tied to the dead in. Either they died, or they worked with death or they killed a lot of people. Things like that. So, it's not exactly the most trusting bunch.

...speaking of, [She gave him another look, raising an eyebrow.] Never mind. It's rude to ask why people end up there.

[He doesn't look surprised to hear this; he'd kinda gotten the feeling after the first description.

He definitely doesn't look amused, though.]

Well, even if you did, I'm not sure what to say. I can guarantee I haven't killed anyone, and I don't think I've worked with death or anythin'. Pretty sure I'm not dead either, unless this guy poisoned me when I wasn't lookin'. [He nods at Ayumu next to him.] But from the sounds of it, that'd land him in the same house.

[Hmmm...]

Wait... You don't think it means I'm gonna die soon, do you? [THAT SURE WOULD BE AWFUL gosh whatever would he do.]

[At the mentioning of poisoning, Ayumu scowls a little, but the remark about dying provokes a light kick to the ankles, unseen by the bracelet's video feed. No talking about death, dying or murder right now, alright. It's not amusing.]

Of course you're not going to die soon.

[But the mention of Hel being connected with death is filed away quietly nonetheless.]

Though that does seem like a pretty grim house.....

[She raised an eyebrow. Not totally buying the innocent routine. She'd never known many in Hel who were totally pure, though there could be an exception. God, don't let him be like Henry.]

Probably not soon, no. They're a little hard to predict here, so it might be something about you that you don't know well. Try not to worry too much about it.

And don't assume that killing equals Hel. Thor's for fighters after all.

And you don't need to worry about dying right now, either of you. It's not like the enemy's battering our gates today.

Jokin', jokin'! If I were gonna die of poison, it'd have to be from food poisonin'. But I cleared the stuff from the fridge way before we ate, so no worries about that!

[Besides that darn pudding, anyway. Yuck. His expression becomes curious as he turns to Samantha once again.]

So Hel's all about death and Thor's all about fightin'? Then what about the others? Like Ayumu here - he's in Sigyn, but neither of us know these gods well enough to know who represents what.

Sigyn's healers, compassionate sorts, helpers and martyrs mostly. [She coughed and shrugged before continuing.] Freya's about those who make someone they love the most important thing. Heimdall I never figured out. They all have sticks up their butts. Loki are the tricksters. Freyr are creators, inventors, artists. Baldr's for cocky little shits. Odin's the thinking man's house.

I don't know how well it matches up with old myths in your world, though.
