[Maribelle switches on the feed, clearing her throat politely. She seems much less ill at ease than before, and not a smidge of trepidation can be seen on her face. She must do her best to keep up appearances, after all.]

Good evening, everyone. Firstly, I wish to thank everyone who responded to my prior request. [Although it wasn't much of a request, but hey! Details!] I am most grateful for everyone's input and efforts, and especially to those who have chosen to join me.

That said, we are ready to begin questioning. Beginning tomorrow, I and my comrades shall start the process in the Everyday Sunshine building located in the Sigyn district. Questioning will begin in the morning, and end in the late afternoon.

There will, of course, be exceptions made for those who wish to participate in questioning, but wish to refrain from being subjected to our abilities. There is a telepathy user who has kindly agreed to interview people without a Charm user. Furthermore, there are two others, named Kirigiri Kyouko and Naoto Shirogane, who will question those who wish to answer our queries without being subjected to either charm or telepathy.

Everyone who wishes to attend may bring a witness if they so choose. My wish is for everyone to feel as safe as possible during this process.

Hey, uh... heads up on the telepathy and stuff.

[It's a little hard to explain without going into detail. Ellie takes a minute, then tries to lay it out.]

No matter how much you've seen? There's always stuff you don't want to see, that you haven't yet.

I possess the Charm ability, myself. I am in Freya's house.

Just out of total curiosity, who did you get?

[It sounds casual, but it isn't. Be introduced to Ellie's ever-present paranoia and suspicion, Mari.]

I thought there weren't that many powerful telepaths around here.

Of the telepathy users, there are Tohru Adachi, Seimei Aoyagi, and the Doctor.

Of the charm users, there are myself and Soushi Miketsukami.

Adachi?

[Ellie pulls up a little short, eyebrows knitting together.]

Kind of a tall, awkward-looking guy? Smiles a lot?

Yes. Do you happen to know him? He is my partner.

[Visibly hesitating, Ellie rubs her hands together.]

I'm probably like. The worst person to talk to about what's right and wrong when it comes down to it.

But I wouldn't trust that guy as far as you can throw him.

I mean, I don't know how far you personally can throw a guy, but that's not the point.

You are the second person to tell me this. [And while she's determined to give the man a fair chance, she's not about to ignore the warning signs.]

Just what has he done, Ellie?

[Ellie is painfully aware of the things she's done, of the things Joel's done. She knows what it's like to have only one side of a story, and she doesn't want to throw this guy under the bus, either. But the things she'd been told don't seem like they could be explained away.

There's also that one encounter with the guy. Ellie knows she's more trigger-happy than most, but she was seriously creeped by the one time they met.]

I think you should talk to Yosuke. And maybe Souji. I don't want to give you anything secondhand.

Yosuke's kind of a spaz, but he's an honest guy, and I've worked with Souji on projects before.

You've probably already met them if you're doing this at Everyday Sunshine.

[Maribelle's own hands are far from clean. She's killed - and helped kill - countless Plegian soldiers, many of whom hadn't even been fighting the Shepherds willingly. And after seeing the injustice in the world, she was determined to treat everyone as fairly as she could.]

I have met Yosuke, yes. He and I have met quite a few times. He does seem to be honest, albeit a little... overzealous.

But I am not one to dismiss someone on hearsay. Have you met him?

Yeah. Once.

[Ellie pulls a face, like she's trying not to, but can't help grimacing.]

Yosuke and I were practicing in the Citadel... he was messing with Yosuke. He said something about him having bad luck with girls. Meaning me, at the time, but.

I found out later that the girl Yosuke liked was murdered.

[Which would make him a huge asshole at the very least, but-]

Yosuke says Adachi did it.

That is quite a serious accusation. [Even more serious than the (decidedly false) one of her own father stealing from the royal treasury.

She's torn. On the one hand, she doesn't believe Ellie would lie - just as she doesn't believe Yosuke would (at least, not about something like this). On the other, personal experience - both hers and her father's - tells her how painful and life-ruining a false accusation can be. She can't put someone else through that, no matter what. She just can't. And Yosuke had said he didn't have any proof.]

Thank you, Ellie. I shall keep a close eye on him.

Yeah, it is. And I know how it sounds.

[Ellie doesn't try to convince her further. She doesn't know what happened, not truly, not past Yosuke's rambling way of telling her horrifying snippets of information while never truly explaining anything in depth.]

Whenever you wish it, Lady Maribelle, you already know that I am willing, and what risks any with telepathy might take with me.

[She's grateful that Ellie's not pushing the matter, what with Yosuke already having gotten snippy with her over it. She's going to have to watch Adachi; that much is clear. And if she deems it necessary, she'll simply have to question him herself, won't she? He does deserve to be heard out, rather than simply being judged by what others say about him.]

Very well. Do you know where the building is?

[Ellie smiles briefly. Maybe if she hadn't known Will, this would bother her more. But Mari seems like she has some clue of what she's doing.]

So, which Doctor are we talking about?

[This, it looks like she approves of.]

The one with the terrible scarf. He seems quite mad, but... a good man, nonetheless.

They're all kinda nutty. I only really know Eleven, but I guess he can vouch for the others.

Clementine's been staying with them for a long time now, and it seems like they've taken good care of her.

[Hell, by the way she says it, you'd never think that Ellie was suspicious as hell of them when they first took Clem in.]

Clementine? I don't believe I've met her. [But she will.]

Oh, did you say how you want it to go? Like, were you going to just go through everyone who shows up whenever, or did you want some kinda order? I think that'd be good for people to know. Y'know, [so that he and his buddies can keep tabs on where Adachi is, but also] to be less confusing.

[He's a helper!]

As we haven't had too many people express an interest in being interviewed when I first started this, I believe that, unless there are a great many responses here, we shall simply take people as they come.

[He waves a hand vaguely.] Yeah, but isn't that a little defeatist?
