STICKY: IC MASS-CONTACT POST FOR GROUPS

[ OOC: This post is here to facilitate IC interaction between the organized groups in Asgard. Think of it as an in-character version of this plotting post. Please feel free to use this as much as you need!


How it Works: Think of this like a very basic message board. Each group will have a subject heading in the comments, and only members of that group will be able to see what is in that thread. There is no locking or privating of messages between individual characters in this post. Just like a message board, all characters who have access to a thread will be able to see everything in it. Of course, feel more than free to take conversations to inboxes or logs - we want it to be easy to build CR from this!

This is an alternative to having to send out a dozen IC inbox messages. ICly, this is just a group messaging feature, to kick around ideas and to make communication and CR-building between group members easier.

Very well.

All it can do at my current level is soothe another. I know it becomes much more - shall we say, emotionally invested - when it grows stronger.

[And somehow? That doesn’t seem all that different from Minato’s power back home]

I suppose that isn’t too bad. I have a friend who could do something similar back home but…

[She trailed off. Shortly afterwards, she closed her eyes as though signaling her to do her best with her ability on her.]

[Maribelle focuses, allowing her ability - currently a feeling of soothing calm - to wash over the other girl.

She doesn't say anything for the moment, instead waiting to see what, if any, effect her ability is having.]

[If there was anything, Fuuka could feel it. Suddenly, her worries about what would happen were put at ease. As a wave of warmth rushed through her, she opened to her eyes and look at Maribelle]

Whatever you did, I think it worked? [She found herself a little surprised, she wasn’t excepting that]

[Still focusing her efforts on maintaining her abilities, Maribelle looks curiously at the other girl.]

Really? Well, then, perhaps you would not mind allowing me to practice a little more?

[yamagishi]

I don’t see why not? As long as we’re trying to help one another, it should be fine by me!

[She said before blinking a little at the other girl. How odd, she thought to herself, she hadn’t felt this calm for a while now. At least, not when she arrived in Asgard anyway.]

Thank you.

[With that, she continues to focus her abilities, noting inwardly that they're really nothing like the magic she's accustomed to using.]

Tell me, do you believe this may help people in need of healing?

[yamagishi]

I think it might! When there is someone who is injured, I think the first thing people would do is panic. So if you are able to calm others, it would be a good way to help!

[At least, that's her opinion anyway]

I believe so, too. I wonder how long the range is...

[With that, she takes a few steps back, then several, still concentrating.]

Do you feel anything currently?

Right now? I still feel relatively calm but nothing has changed?

Perhaps if you take a few more steps back it might? [Perhaps she should test out her own fire power with the range too...]

Would you mind if I tested this out with my power as well?

[Maribelle steps back further, still concentrating. She doesn't feel any different, but there's a slight, steady decrease of energy - a feeling similar to practicing her spells.]

Of course not. What did you say your power was, again?

[yamagishi]

[As she did so, Fuuka noticed there was a decrease from what she was feeling earlier. So this is what she meant]

Oh um...fire power but I’m not going to use it on you! I meant how well I can use it battle or how far it might go?

[damselled]

And how does it feel at this range?

[She stays where she is, for now, keeping up what she was doing. She does want to see exactly what she can do with her powers, after all.]

I've been struck with fire spells before, dear. I assure you, it's not much to worry about, once you can handle them.

But naturally, I don't mind you trying it out while I'm doing thi.

I can still feel it but it's not as strong as before. Or rather, I'm still feeling relaxed but it is very faint.

[However, her eyes widen a little as she heard what Maribelle said to her. She was just...fine with that?]

Uh...o-okay then? If it hurts, just let me know?

[She said as she placed her hand out in front of her. Focusing all her energy toward the palm of her hand, there was a small fire that appeared before her. Although...it hit a little closer to her than she thought]

Hm. Perhaps I ought to move closer, then?

[She smirks confidently at Fuuka's request, but simply nods - and she is indeed able to dodge, though the flame is in no danger of hitting her, gracefully whirling out of the way.

And maintaining her concentration still, of course. It wouldn't do to have that going away when she had no idea if a sudden burst of emotion might cause Fuuka's flames to suddenly become more dangerous.]

[Closer she said, how could she handle an attack like that?

She was never much of a fighter to begin with, she would much rather just side on the sidelines and root for her friends from there. Now that she was forced into the front lines, well, this was going to be trickier than she thought.

After some hesitation, she tried once more to see how far her flames would go. Although, there was a slight panic as she started to wonder if the fire might actually hit her…]</sma

[Maribelle simply smiled as the flame came near her, nimbly dodging it. When one was as fragile in a battle as she was, magical resistance aside, one had to learn to dodge.]

Quite impressive, for a first time. But please, calm down. There is truly no need to worry about me.

[Having said that, she steps a little closer again, her ability seeming to drain her a little, from the distance. She's not used to doing such a thing; most of her spells consist of waving a staff or opening a tome. Still, she tries to keep it going for just a little longer, at the least.]

[Fuuka was normally a calm person but could one blame her when she wasn’t sure what she was trying to do? As Maribelle stepped closer to her, Fuuka gave out a deep breath and tried to relax as much as she could.]

Sorry, I’m not use to fighting in combat and especially without my Persona to help me. [After all, Juno at least had a barrier around her should something ever happen.]

Back home, I usually did some of the healing for my friends, I’m not use to this type of fighting really.

[Maribelle experimentally laid a gentle hand on Fuuka's shoulder as she kept focusing.]

I see. It's a shame we aren't allowed our usual abilities here, but I'm certain that with practice, you'll do admirably.
