[ OOC: This post is here to facilitate IC interaction between the organized groups in Asgard. Think of it as an in-character version of this plotting post. Please feel free to use this as much as you need!

How it Works: Think of this like a very basic message board. Each group will have a subject heading in the comments, and only members of that group will be able to see what is in that thread. There is no locking or privating of messages between individual characters in this post. Just like a message board, all characters who have access to a thread will be able to see everything in it. Of course, feel more than free to take conversations to inboxes or logs - we want it to be easy to build CR from this!

This is an alternative to having to send out a dozen IC inbox messages. ICly, this is just a group messaging feature, to kick around ideas and to make communication and CR-building between group members easier.

Oh? Then who was it?

I can tell you the whole story, but chances are you won't believe anything that comes out of my mouth because I'm the Devil. So, is there a point telling you about it? [ Satan is WAY too used to being treated like a liar, even though he has no need to lie ~~not about that anyway~~ ]

Luckily, I'm not exactly religious. [After all, his family takes part in both Shinto and Buddhist rituals - things are much more lax on that front where he's from.]

Before filling Earth with humans, God created beings that eventually didn't care for Him, and so He locked them up. I was sent to Earth to keep it peaceful, until those beings escaped and He gave the order was to kill them all. I refused. I didn't understand why they had to die only because they didn't worship Him. And my refusal was seen as treason and my twin Michael was quite happy to cast me out of Heaven onto Earth, hoping I'd eventually die. Instead I lead a rebellion.

What were the beings? Demons or something?

Yes, that was the name Father gave them.

Pretty finicky god, huh? Then again, after seeing the ones here, maybe that's normal.

The ones you have here are nothing but dust when compared to Him.

Really? How so?

He wouldn't need to call people from other universes to fight His war. And He doesn't die. And He can send you to Hell and keep you there for as long He sees fit, which might as well be eternity.

So those parts are true, even if the parts about you aren't.

So what, are demons not all bad and angels not all good, either?

Some parts about me are. Demons are both good and bad. They existed during prehistoric times, with the dinosaurs. You can imagine how their life was: survival of the fittest and they were violent in response to the violent life they lead. However they also created clans, they helped each other survive, the found love and family, too. They grew and learned. As for my siblings, they are mindless. Angels do what God tells them, blindly. They have no free-will, because they chose not to. They are bad if God tells them to be, they are good if God tells them to be.

Those demons sound a little like humans.

But what about you? How did you break out of that, if angels aren't supposed to have any free-will?

In certain aspects, they are. Like I said, angels don't have free-will because they choose not to have it. I chose to have it. It helped that I watched Demons before Father decided to destroy them. With them, I learned what it was not to obey and worship God.

So you have the free-will to... choose not to have free-will.

That sounds needlessly convoluted.

Not so much. The situation is that someone you trust completely, love deeply and follow blindly tells you "you are blind", and because of that, you never take off the blindfold.

But hanging around demons inspired you to do that?

In a way. Also my love for them. And not so much. Truthfully, I only met humans recently.

Just because humans are more recent or were you too busy with the demons?

In order to save the demons from God's wrath, I locked myself and them within ice and brought upon Earth the Ice Ages. Demons and myself were in coma when humans were created. We woke up during the 1980's.

Geeze. You missed a lot.

Yes, I know. And suddenly I was the evil incarnated, and humans hated demons, even if demons were there first and humans never really dealt with them directly before.

Was it a huge shock when you first woke up and found out about everything?

I came from a time when Earth was untouched and beautiful. And when I woke up, I saw what had happened to it. Ozone layer gone, polar caps melting, extinction of entire species of animals, destruction of the land, cities of concrete taking place of forests. I wasn't shocked. I was furious.

Even as a human, I have to agree. We've really screwed things up.

[Never really been one for cities, here. In some ways, it's ridiculous to think that animals would regard them highly enough to want to be a part of their society but, given Morimori Academy's popularity...

Well. It more or less proves how many of the creatures admire them.]

Guess it makes sense that someone from before all that would be an environmentalist.
