Since I have been led to believe that this is likely the easiest way to be heard by… those here, I will address the mass of you. I warn you now that I will not appreciate foolish answers or jests. Power or not I am still Mother Nature and I see no reason to act as if I am not.

First of all, what in the name of Cygnus is truly going on? Being kidnapped for something as trite as "spreading emotion and cheer" is ludicrous, and I shall not be participating in a war of any sort no matter how urgent it seems. One is enough for anyone to participate in.

[There's a pause, as if she is considering something for a long moment.]

Also, if anyone recognizes the name Pitchiner, knows who Tsar Lunaoff is then I would request to speak with you at your convenience.

[This? This sets off a lot of alarm bells, because yes indeed, there is a stark similarity here. In a moment of confusion, she nearly does a double take. That thing has a daughter? That's the only thing she can think of before she parts her lips, just to say.]

Never met a Pitchiner, but you're doing a good job of spreading emotions right now, just so you know. It isn't about just the good emotions. But, it pretty much is that you got kidnapped and dropped into someone's desperate war. There isn't any other way to describe it.

Go on, tell them about the big bad Boogeyman. Do my work for me. It's so sweet.

[She's just so very deadpan at this.]

Yes, but that doesn't mean a thing. There is usually more going on in a situation than a brief overview could ever give.

Generally those in the field know the true situation better than those in charge.

Desperate or not, I don't choose sides in altercations. The universe has a surprising ability to survive whatever happens to it.

[And Alice, while curious is still unfortunately suspicious. She lets out a huff.]

What else is there to know? It's a war that we were so graciously volunteered for without our knowledge. The giants and queen Thiazi wish to kill us. The emotions merely empower the city to return it to color.

[That gets a short laugh.]

I don't plan on fighting anyone, as I said; one war for the future of the universe is enough for anyone.

Most of us do not have experiences in these matters, let alone veterans or warriors. We're travelers, nothing more.

Good for you. Not everyone here's really good at fighting anyway, so you're hardly the only one. And, you might be right, but... well, how well this universe can survive what's going on is up for debate.

The only thing war does is steal family from people and destroy what it is professing to save. There are reasons I do not take sides in such things, no matter who is involved.

I never claimed that I was unable to fight, only that I do not.

[There's a tiny grin at that, she is after all the daughter of the cosmos' greatest savior...and greatest threat of that war.]

It has survived the destruction of entire galaxies and the fall of thousands of worlds.

This isn't your world. What it's survived and not survived isn't necessarily the same. [She sighed.] And whether or not you're willing doesn't really matter. If you won't fight, they'll still find some use for you.

If that is the case, I only hope your endeavor is successful. And families are broken up regardless of war, oftentimes by selfishness and cruel deeds.

Neither was the one I was on, I have been well aware of there being different worlds since I was a child. I said universe for a reason.

I've heard of a few different earths that couldn't possibly be the same one. I don't think 'Universe' is the sort of thing we're talking about here, but if you're used to different worlds, fine. It doesn't change that this one's dying.

[Jamie may not have had the pleasure of running into that particular relation of hers - or even seeing him, thanks to his rather hit and miss use of the network - but even if he had that wouldn't have changed matters much. When the video flicks on, his eyebrows are somewhere in the process of disappearing into his bangs, giving him a faintly skeptical expression.]

Aye, well, part of that guide might be a wee bit out of date. But I'm not so sure you'll be able to avoid the war as much as you'd like to.

I have been since I became what I am. War is selfishness and cruelty, only on a grander scale than personal ones.

Unfortunately, you may not get a choice as to whether or not you participate in the war. We've had a few incidents lately where there was widespread devastation.

And no, I haven't heard of those names.

Earth isn't the only inhabited planet, nor is it's solar system the only one with sapient life on it. Things die all the time, it's a part of the natural process. Decomposing bodies give nutrients to new ones growing, things grow back.

Perhaps a pruning is more appropriate than setting the thing ablaze.

I can avoid anything if I want to badly enough, I've something of a knack for it. Then again I don't suppose most here learned on dodging raindrops and meteors.

[There's a joke there, and a smile in her eyes that's just this side of there.]

i'm quite familiar with mass destruction, I usually have a hand in the ones considered natural disasters.

It's unsurprising, they're ones few these days know. I simply thought to ask, as time seems a bit non-linear here.

People come from all kinds of times, and all kinds of worlds. Melting pot doesn't even come close to describing it.

[Well, considering she did say she was Mother Nature... things like hurricanes and ice storms are kinda her thing back on Earth.]

It's not that strange, humanity has never been alone in the universe despite it's ideas about it.

Oh, don't worry, I'm aware, more than most, at how crowded the universe is out there, but a fair few people who arrive here have that to find out.
