[Samantha comes into the feed. It's late, after a little time with a friend. She's in the shop, something that's gotten to be pretty common when she's doing these messages. Looking over what looks like a ledger, she glances back at a cabinet and jots something down before looking back at the camera.

Her gaze is reasonably serious, and her tone equally so. She was, for the moment, rather grateful she'd kept up contact with Loki over in Utgard. It had verified what she'd feared.]

Ok, I've lost track of a few contacts recently so this is an official heads up. For the moment, business is normal at Pinch, and I've got some backstock on potions and medicines that should last for a while, but I'm not bottomless. The ice is blocking the way to Utgard, and until we get that cleared out of the way, some things are going to have to give.

I'll do what I can about getting herbs from Alfheim and the hippies up north, but if you're in the market for potions, understand that my stock isn't quite as flush as it used to be. I'm not changing my prices unless suppliers get stingy on theirs, but... don't go crazy folks. Especially with the gag items. I'm going to be focusing on things for combat and healing right now.

Castiel, Draco? Both of you should hit up Alfheim now. They're still hurting, but with Utgard blocked off, we have to get from somewhere else, and Salt Side only has so much to give.

[Oh, god. She gives a shudder as soon as she hears "Alfheim".]

How bad is Alfheim? Were they able to rebuild anything?

A considerable amount. [She nodded.] At the same time, the damage was bad enough that I don't know how well they can supply herbs right now.

And I am sure that's the least of their concerns; we should have offered them more help now that I think about it. That is, if the let us to begin with.

We've offered them a lot of help, but there was a whole lot of damage at the same time. [She sighed.] We're spread thin as is is part of the problem. Everyone is.

Even the enemy. [She hoped.]

And not even the gods are able to do it.

[She wishes she could do more for them, to help them through that pain of loss and destruction. She knows how it feels like and it makes her heart ache at the thought of how detrimental it can possibly be.]

The enemy may be spread thin for now, but if anything, the last few days are a show case of just how bad their tantrums can be.

[She sighed and leaned back, looking at the roof of her lab.]

It also shows how desperate they're starting to get. The more we push Surt, the more he'll rage, but the more likely he'll be vulnerable. I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not yet... and I don't know if we'll know until it's too late.

If you need plants for anything, we might be able to work out some kinda trade.

There is not much we can do with Surt and I don't fault him for that. I just wish there could be done more for the elves, those poor souls. Fires are absolutely dreadful.

[Samantha had never been afraid of fire the way that Alice was, and wasn't even aware of her fears. Back home, she had a little resistance to heat compared to humans, so it was something she just didn't quite notice, though...]

If left unchecked, they can do a lot of harm, yeah. We'll just have to do what we can, when we can. As for Surt...

It's a war, and he's an ass, but he's straightforward at least.

I could probably use some help with regular herbs and such, yeah. My greenhouse took another damned hit in the middle of these earthquakes and the fighting. I do know you can't grow the magical herbs with Sigyn's powers, but regular herbs will still help.

I don't know if you have herbal remedies or what, but anything med-related is gonna be hard to find, right?

[Just thinking about the physical damage it can do, let alone the psychological one, has her cringing mentally. Stop thinking about, just stop thinking about it.]

I would much rather take a straight-forward brute over compared to who we have to Surt any day. At least he's not a liar.

Are you running out of things? Is there anything I can do to help?

[Anna wants to help, but she's not sure how useful she can truly be.]

I think a lot of people would prefer a straightforward fight. I'm probably in that crowd too, but I'm not quite so good at those.

Eventually, if we don't get access to Utgard again? Yeah. Are you looking for first-aid/paramedic stuff, to help keep you going if the shit really hits the fan, or something specific?

No, not yet, but ... let's just say a little birdy told me that we're going to want to be careful and that the well of supplies just got a lot more endless. I don't know that there's much you can do to help this, though. Try not to worry too much.

I will look into what is available at Alfheim. I have a small stockpile of both ingredients and completed potions that will do for now,but it is good to stay ahead of supply if at all possible.

[Though this is really an annoying development.]

It is. I admit I'm constantly researching, so I may need to cut back on new projects, to make sure I don't run through product when we already have good potions to work with.

I don't think you would have much of a choice in the matter. I used to think I could do without learning how to fight more, but even I am wrong.

Did you ever get some of those lessons you were looking for, by the way? [She frowned some.] I' still available if you want, and I suppose you are. You sure don't look or sound dead.

What about those potions that get your energy back after you use up all your god-power?

Errr... they don't work 'quite' like that. Think of it as caffeine. They let you work longer even when you're running out. Towards the end, you want to be careful not to overuse them, or you can seriously hurt yourself. But yeah, they basically let you keep going longer.

I can set you up with some of those and poultices as a payment.

As a matter of fact, I have.

[He's kind of a taskmaster, not that Alice is complaining. In a way, it helps her sleep.]

Mister Maglor, that is. He was even kind enough to give me a second knife.

Are you sure? I don't mind helping. Just...if you do need something, anything, you'll let me know. Right?

Well, that sucks. But even that'd probably help in a pinch, right? Better than nothing.
