[Oh look, it's your favorite girl named Brittany that lives in Asgard.]

Does anyone know what ducks eat? I think this duck I have isn't eating enough. [She holds it up and the poor little baby duck definitely looks a bit... overfed. It's poofy, but not from fuzzy downy coat... but from Brittany feeding it a lot.]

Lord Tubbington ate way more than this and I want Mr. Quacks to grow up big and strong like he was.

Also, I need a veterinarian that can help ducks.

[If only Brittany's vast knowledge of cat disease could give her insight into ducks.]

Oh! And welcome back everyone that survived the violent battle. You missed nothing important. [She looks to Mr. Quacks as if he's telling her something important.] Oh right, except something about a magical strawberry that gives you powers if you don't eat it.

Actually, that one looks like a very ... well fed duck to me.

He's very ... round.

...I think you might actually want to consider feeding that duck a little less.

Well, yeah... he just looks like he's getting a bit too much breakfast.

[Or a lot too much breakfast.]

Are ducks even supposed to have grapes?

[That doesn't sound like a thing ducks eat. ]

What on earth have you been feeding that bird? Are you fattening it up for roasting?

[And she... is oblivious to the offence caused. Dark ages upbringing and all that.]

Well clearly not right now, you'd scarcely get a mouthful off it, let alone a roast. Far better to continue fattening the bird up as you're doing, you might even get a good fatted liver out of it at the rate you appear to be going. A good onion sauce would be the perfect complement.

That duck looks like it's overfed, not under. Good for eatin', but if you're gonna be givin' it a name I doubt you intend to do that.

Didn't say I wanted to eat him, just that he'd be good for it. Besides, that's usually what people do with 'em, isn't it?

[ Anne has really never heard of anyone keeping a duck as a pet. Most people she knows would rather eat it than take care of it. ]

Can't say I have. Can't say I've ever met anyone with a duck for a pet, either.

You do realise that you are talking about poultry, don't you girl? I don't think they have the capacity to recognise camaraderie in a human.

[She sighs.]

Well. Far be it for me to judge your customs, but the fact that your duckling is overfed and not merely 'fuzzy' as you put it is inescapable. What have you been feeding it?

[He actually did not know that and may have been one of those parents who taught his kid feeding ducks bread at the park was good.]

In that case I really don't think you should be trying to feed him as much as a cat. Especially not one called Lord Tubbington.

[Call him judgmental, but that does not sound like a name for a healthy weight cat.]

I don't think you need to give it any more than what you've given it. If anything you might need to give it less. Little and often, that's the way to do it. The tenant farmers on my father's land would feed their birds dried wheat, all the grains they did not think fine enough to go into the mill for flour. I would feed him that with cracked corn if you have it, and in small amounts.
