So, that Christmas thing was fun, huh? I've never celebrated Christmas before but I actually really enjoyed it! It was nice, choosing and making presents for everyone. I hope everyone had fun with the festival and all. And that will happen again next year? I wonder if we have Christmas back home. I should ask Eugene....

Oh! Right. Thank you to everyone who gave me presents. It's wonderful to see everyone getting together and sharing things like this. I can't wait to learn more about the different holidays. I never really celebrated any back home before so all these here are kind of exciting!

It sounds like we're getting in some new arrivals? So um, hi there! I'm Rapunzel. [An almost annoyed sort of chirp can be heard and a little green...frog? No, chameleon appears at her shoulder underneath the trail of blonde. A seventy foot trail of blonde, not that all of it is necessarily visible as she sits curled up on her bed in her room.] And Pascal, of course. My best friend. No, he's not a frog. He's a chameleon. I know Asgard can be confusing at first, but it's pretty easy to make friends here and there's usually always someone willing to help you out. If you have any questions I might be able to help?

Saying hi to the new arrivals out of the way, in terms of more recent things, has anyone figured out what that meant last month? About the world tree, I mean? Alice and I went to the library to have a look, but I was wondering if anyone else might have found anything.

Seen--oh! You mean Pascal? Yeah, I don't think they're too common as pets at least. I'm not sure if some worlds might not even have chameleons for that matter.

[Rapunzel had, or was previously before leaving and returning with no recollection of Asgard and her time as Draco's girlfriend. Which she is still oblivious about for that matter, given he hasn't told her.]

I know we need to help, and colour is returning. I was just wondering about the tree, if there is anything, what we can do about that?

[Oh the drama!]

Help this to somehow come to a conclusion. We have to help end the war, so that the world can heal.

[Mind you, she didn't mean end it peacefully.]

Well, of course we do. But would that help with the tree though?

The tree is this world. It... cannot be reborn if it does not die. But things haven't gone right. Something has to change, and the gods... and we are trying to figure out how to fix this mess. Think of those words like a reminder that we're running out of time.

Oh....So you think that's what it meant? I'd never heard of a world tree before, I thought it mean there was something special about one of the actual trees here. But I guess it is a reminder. I wish there were more I could do with my drawing life power to help.

I... I've been reading what I found in the library for a long time. You never know if there's some lies in it, but I think it's mostly true.

[She paused.] You have the drawing power? There's plenty you can do to help. You can make supplies... or if you're willing, weapons. Trust me. You don't have to be a fighter to help.

Any of a number of reasons... but I don't think they did here. Some of the books were in the private stacks for a long time, ones we couldn't access. [And that she broke into and read before seeing that they didn't change after the stacks were opened...] People can be strange about their secrets.

Here. When we went to find out how to save Freyr, we went to a cave beneath the ocean to the south.

And... you don't need to worry. Just do what you can. It will help.

Really? I guess I wasn't there when things were separated then. That or I haven't noticed that section when I've been in the library.

Right. I guess I can't help still wondering if I could help more with my healing if I still could use my hair.

I don't really know what's going on, at least relating to the world tree or the other world. I've heard some theories, but nothing concrete or enough to really sell me on any one idea.

[ A pause. Then - ]

I've scoured the library from head to toe, as best as I can. I haven't found anything useful either.

How was your Christmas? Did you have a good one?

That doesn't surprise me. Alice and I didn't find much specific on the tree either.

[But. More importantly, since she has met Hermione previously.]

It was a while ago, actually. I don't know how long you've been here. And, your hair? I remember ... you've got really long hair, but what does that have to do with your hair?

[River wasn't going to say anything until she saw the strange little creature at Rapunzel's shoulder, then her curiosity gets peaked.]

He's very pretty. [She offers a smile and a wave tot he little creature, more interested in him than anything else.]

I've been here a while. Not as long as some others though. I arrived on day 230 or so if I recall rightly.

As far as my hair goes....back home I could sing and it would heal people. Make them young and healthy again.

I did! I'd never heard of Christmas until recently, but it was fun! I'll have to see if we do anything like that back home too.

Hmmm... you got here right about the time we went south, actually. The library private stacks opened about the time you got here. And... well, you learn something new every day. That's a powerful magic, then, isn't it?
