[Video]

Buon pomeriggio, Asgard! That is good afternoon for those who do not speak Italian.

[As he speaks the shovel and the snow it was holding were set to one side, in a large pile of the white fluffy stuff that had already been moved and crafted into an sturdy edifice. ]

I just wanted to offer you fair warning, I consider it more sporting that way. I have taken over the area near Gladsheim Palace and I intend to hold it. That means any stepping foot into my new country will be considered enemies and fired upon.

[To illustrate his intent the normally peaceful artist collects a handful of snow and crafts it into a deadly snowball. ]

I have collected plenty of snow, it is more than enough to fend all of you off and...

[The view pans to show off a very impressive snowfort. It was a few feet taller than the height of a man and some how built with vertical icy sides, to make climbing difficult if not impossible. ]

I have built a castle so none of you will be able to make me leave!

[FULLY aware he is lighting a fuse here but come on! There's snow everywhere! It was time for a good old snowball fight. He has tricks though... be careful!

Leonardo beams, very proud of himself and the mischief he is about to cause but the smile gradually fades and there is a hint of worry in his voice when he speaks again.]

Before I the war begins there is one more thing...

[Leonardo hesitates and looks to the left like maybe he should not continue. This was a secret meant to be kept between himself and just a few people, but it is a pressing matter. He is worried.
If Loras had gone home... OR WORSE! He chokes back the thought. It was better not to think on that until it was known what had happened to him.

Taking a deep breath he attempts to feign only the concern only of a friend not of a lover. Even if their relationship should be discovered he had to ask.]

Has anyone seen Messer Loras Tyrell? I have not heard from him in several days and... if no one has seen him I thought I might check his room in the God House. He did not leave anyone a key, did he? Or maybe some one who is good with lock picking might help?

[Cause if not, that door will be coming off its hinges!]

[This was added, again with a warm smile back in place, just so the message did not end on too somber a moment. ]

And do mind the warning. I am a good shot with a snowball!

[OOC: I debated doing this as a log or as a post but went with a post. Do feel free to action spam with either snowball fight shenanigans or helping pick the lock/break down Loras's door or request a log if you'd like one! ^_^]

Someone got into the winter spirit.

It is not often that we have so much snow around. We should try to enjoy it while we can.

[And well, its a small attempt on his part not to worry about that other matter. ]

Gonna need more than a snowball t' keep enemies out!

You realize you're just asking for the invaders to come, right?

[Switches to private a few moments later]

No, I haven't seen him. He has a position teaching in the citadel, but I figured something came up and he'd just taken a leave of absence for a short while.

A snowball war?

[The War Doctor mulls it over for a moment. Not being able to make the guy leave?

Mission accepted.]

We'll see.

[Action; anyone is allowed to join in.]

[Before long the War Doctor is peeking out from behind a mount of snow, some twenty feet away from the snow fort. Time to watch, see what the first move taken is.]

And who says I do not have more than just a snowball? I have built castle defenses before. Do not underestimate it just because it is made of snow.

...Did ya build a castle out of snow?

Si! I am hoping that some one will. It would be a pretty one-sided snowball fight all by myself.

[Private]

If he took a leave maybe he is just busy with something. He said nothing more than that? It does seem odd that no one would have heard from him in so long.

It would be odd.

I normally don't do this but..I'd be willing to go with you to check his room. If he's there and just detained, then it's just a matter of you explaining. If he's not there..then I think that justifies breaking and entering to find out.

Va bene!

[How wonderful! A challenger appears! ]

[Action]

[The first move the fort makes is perhaps the most obvious one. It's Commander launches a warning snowball over at the head he sees peeking up from the mound of snow. It hits the mound and splatters, maybe hitting those behind it with some spray but doing no serious damage to much anything. ]

You still have time to retreat now Messer!

[Oh but please don't, he nearly has the range calculated and is anxious to see how his new toy performs in battle. ]

[Oh so it's going to be like that is it? The first snowball does little damage, the War Doctor taking a moment to wipe the dislodged snow from his face.

Game on. You may not see it right now, but he's digging down, making his own small bunker behind the mound of snow.]

I think you underestimate me, good sir!

[With that the War Doctor throws a test snowball of his own, aiming it for high up on the fort walls.]

Snow and ice, si. There was plenty of it around and we had been too long without something fun as a distraction.

[And he could really use a distraction right now!]

Have you never built one?

Wow! That's a cool fort!

[His face breaks into a wide grin.]

Too bad you won't get to enjoy it much longer! Challenge accepted, I'm gonna storm your castle!

[He points at the screen DRAMATICALLY.]

[Leonardo didn't really know the lady, but her offer was so kind and wonderful! She had to be a friend of Loras's too? He was quick to accept! ]

It is probabally better to go as a group when the potential for breaking into a room exists. There would be less chance we would be accused of robbery.

[Not that Loras would think that, but the others in the God house might.]

Grazie, I would like the company!

[He did warn it would happen! A snowfort is no good without snowballs to defend it!]

What will you do from there? You can not get in!

[The War Doctor's snowball hits the side of the fort and splatters just as Leonardo's warning shot had. The artist had put some effort into the construction of this beast, going so far as to seal the walls with a layer of ice so the outer wall stood quiet strong. ]

Since you will not retreat messer, I have no other choice!

[The loud thuawk sound reverberated through the area as the SNOW CATAPULT unleashed its payload in the general area the other man had been spotted in. It was a machine powerful enough to launch a good sized pack of snow but carefully balanced so that no real harm would come from it. A very well thought out deterrent to invaders. ]

[Oh good! Another one! This one might even have been more brash than the first!]

You may try, but it would take more than just you to tear down this fort!

We'll see about that!

[This is too much fun, no drama, just hilarity. It only takes a split second before the War Doctor recognizes the sound for what it is, automatically burrowing down as far as he can go before the onslaught.

Who brings one of those to a snowball fight? Really?

it takes a moment before the War Doctor resurfaces from his brief snow burial, spitting some snow out before grinning. So it's going to be like that is it? Alright then. There's a moment of mulling something over before he pulls his scarf off. It'll do for now. There's only so much snow Leonardo can use before he runs out....perhaps.]

Is that all you've got?

[The War Doctor gathers up a large snowball, using both hands to craft the basketball shaped object before placing it in his scarf. Yessir, it's a sling, and he takes a moment to stand up, swinging the scarf over his shoulder to let loose his newest creation at the fort.]

We'll see about that! I'm comin' over, so use this time to say your goodbyes.

[Action]

[When Mikazuki shows up, he's already holding a snowball in each hand. He doesn't walks as much as he jumps and you can hardly tell he's still a little sore from fights he had earlier this week.]

Whoa, it looks even better in reality! But let's see how strong your defences are.

[He runs forward, looking like he's planning to try and scale the icy wall.]

[There was no net or roof to prevent snowballs from flying over the wall. The Doctor's sling scarf snowball sailed easily over the top of the barrier and landed in the snow on the other side. It was an inaccurate strike, since one could only guess what might be behind those walls, but it had made it inside the fort!
How amazing! It was so resourceful to use a scarf in that way! Though they were enemies in this most dangerous and bloody of battles he had to call out a small measure of congratulations.]

How clever! But you might want to wear that! You will need that scarf when my snowapult hits you!

[Leonardo had a mound of snowballs inside for more close range attacks, but for the catapult it was easier to just draw the snow required to reload it and set it into place on the image he had sketched. Much quicker too, and there was no need for shoveling!
The machine rang out again far quicker than would have been possible if Drawing Life magic did not exist. ]

[A charge!? It was probably the most unexpected means of attack! Most of the time people hunkered down or built snowforts of their own to protect themselves from rival snowballs. But, he was actually running straight towards the wall? MADNESS!

Leonardo trusted the icy coating of the wall would make it unclimbable so he focused on getting a bead on the boy rushing his gates. The snowfort's main defense, a snow throwing catapult, sprung to life sending out a mass of snow towards the path the young man was taking. While the artist clambered up the battlements to throw a few well placed snowballs of his own. ]

[Cower behind a snow mound and play defence? NEVER! Where’s the fun in that?

Mikazuki let out a shout of surprise and delight when the catapult shot up. It was incredible, truly incredible! The battles back home made him rather good at dodging projectiles, so managed to avoid a direct hit, but some of the snowy mass found its target, hitting his shoulder and the side of his head along with some of Leonardo’s smaller snowballs. Mikazuki burst into laughter - it was so cold!

The hits slowed him down, but didn’t stop him. He could take it, he will never give up! A few more fast paces to gain momentum and Mikazuki jumped, activating his power to push harder, get higher. Once mid air, he tossed his two snowballs at the fort, channeling his super strength behind the throw.

And he was laughing the entire time. He was having a blast already.]

Or atleast a better chance to explain ourselves. [She actually did know how to pick locks, atleast the ones in this place were simple enough to pick given Loras's lack of magic skills.]

My name's Sonya Blade. Tyrell and I have teaching jobs at the citadel.

When do you want to meet? I'm assuming as soon as possible.

Until it turns out to be too bothersome. [ snow is only fun the first few days ]

Regardless of that, I have been meaning to have a word with you.

I suppose it might end up becoming old... after a while. We do not usually have so much snow where I am from, not unless it is on a mountain top. It will take longer for me to tire of it!

[Or until he loses this battle and gets dunked in snow. That might chill his enthusiasm a touch!]

A word, si, what is it you would like to speak to me about?

Si, right away would be best. It would do no good to wait if he were sick or injured in some way...

[Too much concern. He had to stop and remind himself to be a little more cautious. ]

I am Leonardo da Vinci. Could we meet in front of the God House?

[All things considered he could probabally pick the lock too, if he were thinking clearer than he was. Worry and heart ache did make one's mind less reliable.]
