Potions is, in essence, a scientific craft. Organic chemistry, on a basic level, although one who applies themselves to the mastery of potions learns that it is indeed much more than simply chemistry. It is, in fact, rather an art. Creating powerful, intoxicating, even molecule-changing elixirs that can heal the sick, empower the healthy and wound your enemies, using little more than that which can be found within the four elements that sustain all life: earth, water, air and fire.
