[When the feed turns on, there’s a stage. For those who are familiar with it, it’s the stage available in Freyr. After a moment, a girl—Santana—walks into view, and then a guitar starts strumming. The song may sound familiar to some, as it’s a certain Carly Simon ditty.

She smiles after a moment, grabs the mic, and when it’s time, begins singing (sample of voice):]

You walked into the party like you were walking onto a yacht
Your hat strategically dipped below one eye
Your scarf it was apricot
You had one eye on the mirror as you watched yourself gavotte
And all the girls dreamed that they'd be your partner
They'd be your partner, and...

[After a moment, the person playing the guitar steps into view. It’s Sam Evans. The two of them come together in the chorus, though they stand in opposition with one another, with Santana coming to stalk around him like he’s prey.]

[After a moment, Santana falls back into position across from him, and Sam begins singing (sample of voice):]

[They’re about to bust into a chorus—in fact, their voices angrily pouring into You’re so vain! begins—when someone approaches off screen. Santana and Sam stop singing at the same time, and Santana’s scene rushing toward the feed to shut it off, a] What the hell?! [heard just before it cuts short.

The camera may have flashed to a certain Erica before that happened. Yeah, she probably looked a little different.]

[The thing about Erica is that her life is drastically different back home. The Erica that Asgard has gotten to know over the past few months only has roughly another 5 minutes before her life is changed completely. She goes from shy, understated, poorly dressed, epileptic girl who is bullied in person and online...

To... well, a bombshell beta werewolf. It's the nearly a-typical teenage make-over montage that happens in a movie, without the montage and without the actual group of females to help her out. Who knows who helps her sort out her new look, but it's jaw-dropping, eye-catching, and suffice it to say very different.

Which is why when Erica has a brief moment of not being in Asgard and then a month back home only to end up back in Asgard, her fist instinct is to go find everyone and figure out how long she's been gone.

Apparently... not long at all. It's been maybe an evening. She's still working that out. Her instinct to talk to people, however, ensured that she stumbled upon this performance... and that is definitely her boyfriend and the girl that made fun of her... singing Carly Simon.

This definitely takes precedence, so she heads over to where she thinks they are.]

Is this really the best way for her to prove she's better than me? [Oh, and she might have a TEENY bit of attitude.]

Okay, there's like a million Facebook updates already confirming that. I didn't need to prove anything. [Maybe not the best comeback, but it'll do fine. The fact that the girl has completely changed in how she looks stuns Santana, in part because she's actually hot. And look, as someone who can appreciate when Rachel Berry is hot—which is much more frequently these days, so she's stopped commenting on it—she can recognize it in someone else.

In a way, it tells Santana that she was right, and when that realization kicks in, her lips twist upward in a smug fashion, and she heads over to stand right in front of Erica, fully checking her out. It's obvious, too.]

And I want to point out, just for the record, that I was right. You couldn't wait to get rid of that drab look once I pointed it out, huh? [Okay, so it wasn't immediate, but it's soon enough for Santana to take all the credit.]

[Erica rolls her eyes at her. Her arms cross over her chest and she has a very unaffected look on her face.]

This has nothing to do with you. This has everything to do with me going home and the situation there changed. And once more, I didn't feel the need to change anything to prove anyone wrong or right. [She really doesn't like this girl. Maybe if they had met after her trip home they could have found slightly even ground, but instead she's definitely feeling the need to not care about anything she says.

Erica moves over toward Sam and checks on him, because he's gone to the strong and silent type and she's wondering if he's okay.] Everything okay?

[So, it's really difficult for Brittany to put down her tub of ice cream to be supportive to her future girlfriend-ex-girlfriend who broke up with her in the past.

She wants to try, though, because that's what Glee club stands for. Giving Love Everytime Evenwhenitisreallydifficulttodo.

That's a horrible name.]

I didn't know we had practice today.

We didn't, we're just venting our anger and letting people see how talented I am at the same time.

[Sam's probably talented, too, but Erica showing up has made her a touch more bitter. Like hell she didn't have anything to do with that. Santana knows when she's succeeded.]

You know, one of those angry sing offs. It was very spontaneous.

[Brittany nods. She's pretty sure a solo would have shown how talented Santana is better than sharing a song with someone... except that's what they do in glee a lot, so maybe she's wrong.]

Why were you angry?

I told Sam's stupid girlfriend what I really thought of her. It's like no one can take a little bit of honesty. Nothing ever changes.

[Brittany frowns, mostly because Santana being honest has hurt her recently and she's not sure she wants to sign on for agreeing with that line of thought.]

Are you still angry?

[ This is how the glee kids fight each other back home, by singing. For people who don't sing about their feelings, their angry duet is probably really bizarre, but this is the norm for Sam and Santana. Sam's fully invested in venting his anger with Santana through song, glaring moodily at his duet partner, until his eyes wander to someone walking towards them in heels that clunk against the floor...

Erica, who is definitely different. And Sam's gawking, his fish lips starting to form Erica's name before Santana is jumping in to talk first. Okay then. Sam will just stay quiet and wordlessly blink at them both while he listens to them exchange catty comments to each other.

Mostly Sam's concerned that Erica got a makeover in Asgard because of what Santana said to her, but when he hears that's not the case, that she went home and changed like she told him she would (he never thought she'd change like this), Sam's relieved. ]

I, uh... yeah. I'm okay. I'm just in shock. Good shock. [ Because holy damn his sweet, shy, casually dressed but still pretty girlfriend has somehow overnight turned into a colossally hot babe who bites back.

And then he notices the way Santana is looking. The same way he's looking. ] Are you checking out my girlfriend? [ He's suddenly worried Erica is totally Santana's type now, a hot blonde. Please don't steal his girlfriend, Santana. ]

A little.

[But she does pause to finally look at Brittany. Video and obscured view or not, it definitely looks like she was ... sulking.

Ouch. That hurts, too.]

You okay, Britt?

[She assumes she's not, and she should probably go private, but what are Glee kids and privacy?]

No.

[Yes.]

But even if I was, she's not that much hotter. Just a little hotter. She's still got to work on it a little. [There's a beat where she flippantly turns away from them.] I can still practically smell that mousy interior under ... [She angles her body very dramatically and waves her hand at Erica.] All of that.

[Okay, so looking at her again, she's still super hot, and the annoying additional fact is that Miss Former Mousy is also taller than her. Ugh, that's just the icing on the cake, really. In Santana's imagined vision of her, she was tiny and very easy to stomp down into nothing under her heeled foot.

It's gone now, replaced with ... this.

Reminded of the fact, she huffs out annoyed, but doesn't clarify exactly why she's annoyed.]

Alright, because there was some light rock going on... [Which was not entirely surprising, but it was being broadcast for some reason.]

And she can check out whatever she wants. [Erica shrugs, because let's face it, she has something to check out.] She's not going to get anywhere with all of her looking, though. I already have a boyfriend.

[She smiles at Sam. Then realizes, oh - maybe the whole going home thing might give him concern.] Which is you. Not anyone back home, because there's not any time at all to date back home. [Not with all the training and Kanimas and possible threesomes that she needs to discuss with Isaac later. Much later.]

[She forces a smile and nods.]

Totally okay.

[ Well, it's definitely a relief to hear his girlfriend hasn't come back as a lesbian wanting to be in a relationship with his ex-girlfriend. Because that would definitely suck. ]

So... I'm still your boyfriend, you're totally rocking the way you look right now, and Santana's attracted to you, she's just too proud to admit it.

[ Just to sum up what's happening here. ]

You know what we all need right now? A drink. [ Alcohol to help his girlfriend and ex-girlfriend bond... yeah, that's an awesome idea, Samuel Evans. ]

I am not!

[It's true, she's way too proud to admit it. But Santana is generally way too proud to admit most things, so it's not like this is any different from the norm. Her body full turns again toward the pair of them so she can completely glare at Sam.

How dare he speak for her. Of course, none of her anger was really directed at him in the first place, so much at the situation.]

I'll take drinks, though. On your wallet. [She adds a smile to punctuate that. Then again, it's not like Santana has a job or anything.]

Okay ... good. [She's not buying it. She knows a forced Brittany smile.]

We're going out for drinks. Sam's buying. You in?

[Some part of Santana—the mean girl part of her that sometimes rules her behavior—is thinking that maybe if Brittany's there, she might distract Sam from his stupid hot girlfriend. And then what? She doesn't know. It's a plan in the beginnings of its process, but it's not why she's asking for Brittany to be there.

She knows Brittany prefers being around other people, that she's happiest when there's a "family."

But somehow, she doubts Britt's going to take her up on her offer.]

[Erica is going to play the 'Santana isn't in the room' game and just talk about her to Sam.]

I think she's protesting a lot more than she probably should and drinks are fine. [Even if she knows it's not the best plan. Ever. She just got back from a month back home and she has a lot of conflicting emotions. Things that she was angry about back home don't even apply here... and she just has all of the unbalanced werewolf anger still.

So, yes. Alcohol is a great idea.]

[Brittany wants to go. She wants to go hang out with friends and have fun. She wants to laugh and remember how happy she used to be with all of them. She thinks she can do that. She nods.]

Drinks? I can do that. I might be late, but I will make an appearance.

Why for glob's sake would this song have anything to do with me? We have never met human? And please stop making that horrendous screeching sound. Is this some unseen human attack method I am unaware of?

[Everyone's a critic.]

Did something happen?

—To our performance? Some thing walked in and destroyed our showmanship!

This has nothing to do with you, and ugh, what the hell is wrong with your face?

Shouldn't you always complete your performance no matter what happens? Please continue your song! I'd love to hear the rest of it.

[Santana is ... actually relieved she's coming. Especially since Sam is insisting that she finds this Erica girl hot and she's not that hot, especially with Brittany right here.

Not that Santana can just proclaim that or anything. But Erica would learn. She'd have to learn, right?]

I'll text you the place once we pick one. Just don't take too long, all right?

[Which means: she's worried about Brittany, but also ... doesn't want to go through this evening without her.]

[The mindset is one she hasn't heard in a while. She appreciates it.]
