This is Gale Hawthorne, I've been brought back, I'll be living at the Roadhouse again.

[Action for Jo Harvelle]

[He knew where he was, he had not forgotten a day he spent here. Even if when he was home he did not remember the moment he was here, he did. He knew he needed to contact other people, let them all know he was back. But first, he just needed to know if he still had a home.

He had been happy at the Roadhouse, as hard as things as been, as stressful as it had gotten here Gale had been happy there and it is no wonder this is the first place his feet carried him.

Would Jo even remember him he wonders? How long had he been gone, he did not know. It was early for the bar to be open but he found the door unlocked and pushed it open. He called out as his feet hit the hardwood floor.]

Any body home?

[Private to ALL Panem kids minus Katniss Everdeen and Finnick Odair after seeing Jo and messaging Katniss in her inbox]

They've brought me back, I'll be at the Roadhouse.

[Private to Finnick Odair after seeing Jo and Katniss]

Meet me at the Roadhouse.

Gale? Hey, are you okay?

[Finnick looks a little tired, as if he hasn't slept in a few days.]

You're still going to go to the Roadhouse?

Is it a happy return, or are condolences in order?

Gale, you're back! [ but you're still not going to live with them? boo :c ]

Where's the Roadhouse?

Gale.

[It shouldn't really surprise him, should it? Peeta's starting to think nothing should.]

So you were here before too. And you remember it?

Are you-- er-- is that a pleased statement or not?

[ so when scott dropped allison off at jo's place, she never realized just how much of her time she'd have to switch. before, free hours were spent at the roadhouse, papers and booking and inventory and just hanging out with the boombox. when gale was here, it had been more exciting, more enjoyable, really, but she can't seem to find her footing anywhere else.

with allison at the house, she's been trying to watch her instead of just hang around. she's been trying to stick around the house until someone else could come home or until scott had a few hours to come by. now? now she's got gwaine hanging out and she can steal some time. she's got a week's worth of logging and two weeks worth of paperwork and if she could just-

the door opens and she's got her fingers in her hair, leaning over the bar like she's studying for a test of some kind and her response is somewhat automatic. ]

We're not op- [ any body home?

jo freezes up, looking from side to side before she lifts her head. when she sees him, it's almost like she can't believe it, her thoughts scrolling through everything that cold go wrong. he doesn't remember, he's from an earlier time, he's trying to find katniss and if he's-. ]

Gale? [ home? if he doesn't remember, why did he even know to come here? why did he even show up? keeping her eyes on him, she ends up walking around the bar, up to the door, her eyes still a little wide. but her steps are slow, like she's still not quite convinced. ]

What are you doing here?

[ Buffy's face is surprised. Pleasantly so, but surprised. Until she brings out the whammy and gives him serious hate eyes. ]

Don't you ever - EVER!! - scare me like that again, or you won't have a job to come back to! [ Hot air.

All of it.

She would hire him again every time. ]

I'm good, you don't look like you are, what's going on?

[That is hard to answer, he knows they want him to come back to the house, but.]

We've both just came back, it's better this way.

I'll tell you after I've seen everyone?

Rue. [And immediately he smiles]

It's not far from the house, I can come get you if you want to see it.

[Here before too, remember it? Shit, they had done it to Peeta again too and that meant that Katniss was here without both of them for awhile.]

Getting the feeling you don't but yeah, we were here at the same time too.

It has good and bad points?

[He actually forgets anything he meant to say for a moment. It was no wonder, she was beautiful and in honesty he did not expect to feel his heart race that little bit at seeing her, it did exactly that however.

At first he does not flinch under that gaze. Instead he just watches her, not moving in the slightest, his gaze keeping hers. His name finds him taking one step toward her. Maybe it was something in her voice, he didn't know. Then the question,he freezes, the flinch comes then as that hurt. He looks down at his feet, shuffling slightly before he looks back up at her.

He stands there, taking a breath searching for words, anything that he can possibly say.]

I...didn't know where else to go. [He swallows and then his mouth does what it does best some times, shoves forward.]

I wanted to see you.

[He grins and immediately falls into a grimace, looking exactly as sorry as he needs to at that. Since he knew from the initial look that there was some hot air blowing around there.

There is just a small grin when he talks.]

Deal.

Nothing I want to get into on the network.

[He rubs his face with his hands.]

Honestly, I'd feel better if you were with us, but I understand.

[ jo's not really sure what kind of answer she was expecting when she asked that, but the way he flinches and looks down to the ground is the opposite of it. she wants to take it back, all of it, and the fact he keeps going just makes her hurt more. his answer twists something in her chest, pushes her out of the shock of seeing him and the defense of he might not remember because of he didn't, if he really didn't, would he be here?

i wanted to see you and that's all it takes. she drops what she was doing and moves around the bar, takes one, maybe two steps before her feet move a little faster towards him. jo watches him this whole time, waiting for a clue that something about this was off before she's standing there, right in front of him, and-

part of her wants to punch him. really, truly does. and it's that urge that ends up reeling her hand back and smacking it across his face. ]

I swear to God, Gale Hawthorne, if you do that again- [ but she doesn't finish, because in that same breath she's reaching up and grabbing the collar of his shirt with both hands, jerking him down until he's close enough for her to kiss him. hard, desperate, a little pit of nowhere but the overwhelming sense of he's back makes her think less about the consequences and more about the fact he's actually back. ]

I don't know if I could find any good points, honestly.

[When she comes closer he does not move, letting her make up the decision how close they would come even if there is a large part of him that wants to just move towards her.

Then she is there, the sting of pain in his cheek shocks him into utter silence and his hand reaches to the spot. Ready to respond to her words, a bit of his own fire rising it is immediately rechanneled as shock sits in again.

Her lips are against his, she is kissing him, for the first time in a long time he is being kissed out of want and need, he can feel it in the touch. His hand on his cheek suddenly finds her cheek instead, calloused thumb setting against soft skin.

Then he kisses her back, letting go of everything for a moment and just enjoying the feel. He had wanted to do this before he left, had been wondering if his chance was gone. Yet as his free hand and the arm it is attached to wrapped around her waist he realized maybe he hadn't lost this chance like he had every other one he had ever had in life.]

Meet me at the Roadhouse.

[That tugs at Gale, he wants to be there for his friends.]

Maybe, when she's better, when they are better.

[And when he can face her being with Peeta a little better. Jo and his feelings for her were a good start in that direction.]

It beats being at war.

Deal.

I'm Ghanima.

No, I don't remember any of it.

[And he feels guilty about it, because he gets the feeling that Katniss needed him to remember. Or at least it would've made things easier.]

Why aren't you staying with the rest of us? Wouldn't that be easier?

[He honestly feels bad for Katniss.]

Fine, I'm on my way. Don't tell me you want to get me drunk, Gale.

[He's teasing.]

Okay! [She hadn't spent as much time with him as she'd have liked last time, what with him living elsewhere, but now he's back! And she can bother him whenever she has the time again.]

How come you still don't want to live with us?

Don't think we met first time around, new?
