I tune out of the world for a while, go grey and see what it's like to blend in for a bit and now...Now I get exploding ravens and crazy shadows.

It's never dull around here, is it?

Never dull. It seems to be a commonality that foolish things perpetually occur in this place. Exploding fowl is likely the least of our concerns.

...What did you do to make them explode? [She's seen the birds, but she hasn't seen any explode yet. That's a new one.

And after a second's contemplative pause.] If it was ever dull, I don't think they'd actually need us like they say they do.

Yeah, I expect you're probably right on that one. The shadows are starting to act all weird. I'm guessing that isn't a good sign either.

I didn't do anything, I saw someone throw a rock at them and they just kind of...Went boom.

[She nods, shrugging a little. This is true but I can hope that things will be dull for a while, can't I?

I am sincerely considering bringing large numbers of light sources around. I dislike intensely having one of my shadows wave at me. it is ... inapprropriate.

[She arches her eyebrows for a moment.] I guess it's odd when you're not the one making your shadow do it.

These... they appear self-mobilized. That alone causes matters of concern. If it were some tricksome fool from Hel, I could beat them senseless and we'd be done with it.

I am not so sure.

...Yeah, that's definitely an option. I try and go down the path of not beating someone up but well, I suppose desperate times and all that.

From a rock? [And now Jane looks like she's planning things. This is something she needs to see for herself.]

[May arches her eyebrows at the sight of Jane's expression.] That's the look of someone who's plotting something. What are you thinking?

Desperation has nothing to do with the matter. It's much more refreshing beating fools up for being foolish. However, this feels more sinister.

[She looks to the side, watching her own shadow dance.[ Yeah, you're probably right there too. Whatever this is, it wants to have it's way with us.

The more one stays away from reflective surfaces and in the light, the better off in general. We have no need of losing all able fighters.
