[The video clicks on to Owen, frowning at the camera. Even through his glasses, you can see that there are bags under his eyes. Still, he's wearing a business suit and tie, trying to give off the impression that he's put together and is not suffering from nightmares and hearing voices, thank you very much. When he speaks, it's with a dull, British accent.]

I must say, I preferred the apples.

[He adjusts his glasses slightly, letting that statement speak for itself.] On a different note, I am currently looking for a job. I was told that there were businesses here, and advertising on this bracelet seemed to be the most efficient way to find out which were hiring.

As for myself, my name is Owen Burnett, currently of Loki House. I have experience in administrative work, serving as the executive assistant for Xanatos Enterprises back home. Of course, [small frown here] I have a feeling that company name means absolutely nothing to most of you. I can also cook and provide customer service, though I would prefer administrative work. [because let's be real, this guy looks hella boring, why would you want him for a waiter.]

[Eh, somehow you don't seem very... Loki-like. It makes Sandy wonder.

But hey, whatever. It's a normal question that Sandy can help out with, so he'll be helping with it.

A little man with gold eyes, hair, and somewhat luminescent and sparkly skin turns on the video. He has a bandage around the top of his head, tied tightly, and there are similar bags under his eyes, but there's no other sign that he's been hurt.

He holds up a detailed, hand-drawn map of the Loki district. A good handful of areas are colored in with coded colors, the key for which is in the corner. Green for restaurants, red for clothing stores, blue for general common wares stores, and purple for miscellaneous businesses that happen to need a helping hand.

Loki is the district he spends the second most amount of time with, and he remembers places with Help Wanted Signs, most of which belong to natives.

What sort of administrative work are you good at?

Most types of work, to be honest.

[Owen peers at the screen, confused, before he finally gets the gist of the map and smiles at the man.]

Ah, I understand. Thank you!

Let me find a pen and paper so I can make a small copy of the map.

Do you know anything about, um. Running businesses?

[ HAHA she's trying to be vague here, alright. ]

I do. I had to run a business for a while when my employer was indisposed.

['indisposed' meaning 'his ass was in prison' but Jade doesn't need to know that]

[Sandy nods and smiles, although he's a little too tired for his smile to reach his eyes. It's been a long few days.

He obligingly holds up his map for Owen to copy down, conspicuously not saying a word the whole time. Of course, if he wants a job in Sigyn or something, Sandy can also help him out there. He just figured a shorter commute might be preferable.]

Ehehehe. Good. What if I hired you on for a little while to help me out?

[There's a pause and scratching sounds while Owen makes a copy of the map. After a minute or so, he looks up at the screen and nods.]

Thank you, Mister...?

[yes, that is an invitation for you to tell him your name, Sandy.]

I'd love to help out, Miss Harley. What type of business do you run?

[Without missing a beat, Sandy moves his fingers to allow previous pages to fall in front of the map. Beautiful and detailed pictures of people and communication pass by, and then the first page falls into place.

'Sandy'. Written in deceptively simple-looking calligraphy--something which, upon closer inspection, has pictures woven into the text, like the moon and sun and fish and rippling clouds.

He could tell you his formal name, but 'Mr. ManSnoozie' would be weird to hear.]

[Owen leans into the camera, adjusting his glasses slightly, impressed and confused at the same time. Well, he is obviously magic somehow. And that is not a power he's seen before in his week of being here.

My my! It's always nice to have a cook in the house!

I'm no chef, but I can cook enough to keep myself and others fed.

[Sandy gestures to Owen with a smile. And a pleasure to meet you. Normally he'd insist on informal language, but this guy doesn't really seem like the type to drop the 'Mr.'

He then flips through his sketchpad again, drawing a picture of Owen in a city with a strange mishmash of architecture--an impossible city with a foot in every time period--and then an arrow pointing to Owen walking through Asgard, with a question mark above the initial city. Where are you from?

He's trying to gauge whether they might be from the same world or not.]

[Owen peers at the map, frowning slightly, pausing as he tries to comprehend the drawing. Eventually he does, and makes his assent with a nod as he answers the question.]

Here, I live in Loki House. Back home, I live in Manhattan, New York, in the United States of America, on Earth-though it's referred to here as Midgard, I suppose.

[never let it be said that Owen doesn't know his mythology-that kind of comes with the territory.]

Inoue Orihime and I run a restaurant. It's called the Highwind, in Heimdall's district.

That's certainly a relief! Perhaps I should have you cook for me sometime!

[Because since her butler isn't here, she's been a total disaster in the kitchen. Not that she'll ever admit it]

I'll admit, I know very little about the restaurant business, but I'm good at accounting and keeping the books in order.

My speciality is Italian cuisine, though I can also cook French, and a simple dish of meat and potatoes as well.

That is what I need help with. I am quickly coming to the conclusion that I actually have no business actually trying to run a place! But I'm trying, ehehe, I guess that's what matters. I could pay you for your help, though!
