[Aurora's bracelet is only turned on because a certain owl had been gently nipping at it. Aurora's singing can be heard over the network as she is cleaning the room provided to her. The owl, who had been sitting on the windowsill while Aurora was cleaning. Aurora is just smiling as she gently shoos her avian companion away, still singing.]

Yes, I'm sure this is a bit strange for you as well. Coming here all because of an apple! [She sing-songed to the owl, unaware of the bracelet being on.] But I am glad all the same to see you. And I suppose thankful to the apple as well. [She lightly bops his beak and he sees the screen, giggling and she hasn't smiled so sincerely in what felt like weeks if only it's been a few days.

He tilts his head and gives a soft "hoo!" Aurora turns to see where he's looking, giving a soft "oh!" in surprise.]

Oh! [Well, it would seem all of Asgard had just heard her sing for the moment.] Well, I suppose I should ask, is it very common for fruits to provide us our dear friends and items from home? I'm quite sure I've never had an apple do such a thing before... or appear in such colors.

Not sure if it’s common, but… the color definitely isn’t normal. Must’ve taken a long time to dye all the blue ones.

[Aurora blushes but nods.] My sincerest apologies, sire. It was not my intent to sing for the world to hear. [She lands a gaze on her owl who has the decency to look bashful, even if his equivalent of an avian grin suggests otherwise.]

Oh! [Aurora blushes.] I do not think I compare to a heavenly choir, but you are very kind for saying so.

Not my pet, so much as one of my oldest and dearest friend. I lived in the woods my whole life and he was one of my companions. I would never consider him a pet.

Hmm, they were quite delicious though, even the golden one was perfect.

Whoa… Really? [His eyes widen a little in surprise.] So you survived in the wilderness all on your own?

Yeah. Some of the effects, though… I guess we should’ve known that they wouldn’t just be ordinary apples.

You're right. A heavenly choir isn't good enough to explain how magical sounding your voice is, but it's all I can think of! So it will have to do.

[Her blush gets deeper as she presses a hand to her cheek.] Oh my! You're complimenting me and I don't even know your name.

No, not by myself. It was myself and my three aunts. The three of us were quite capable.

Apparently not, no. I've certainly never had an animal give me a friend.

And to answer your question: I rather believe these apples to be a curse. You sing now, but I'm beginning to suspect that what this absurd place may randomly give in seemingly altruistic gifts - such as your feathered friend, if I am to understand that is what you meant by that owl being the result of an apple you ate - it will potentially randomly take away with equal measures of selfishness for its own gain.

Who are you, anyway?

[ This wasn't what she had been expecting when she decided to check the network, but she wasn't going to complain. In fact, she was grateful fpr such a soothing voice was just what she needed after yesterday. It was relaxing and calming.

But her question brought Minako back to reality. ]

Oh! Apples can do that here?

If my owl friend were to be taken away, then I will have been grateful for our time together. [Considering she may not see him again when she is returned home anyways. ] Worry over how long we have together does not allow me to enjoy the time that we do.

What color did you eat to get that owl?

[Hamel wants his crow companion back. Oboe was there his entire life and even a few days without him feel weird. He'd never admit it, but he misses the stupid old crow's nagging already.]

You sing to owls?

I took a bite of the blue apple from one of the many trees that have sprung up.

Oh! [Why, it's such a young boy, what was he doing here?] Indeed I do, I've always sung to my friends and while I'm cleaning.

Blue huh? Lemme see...

[There is a tree close to where Hamel stands. It's one of the large ones and the blue apples are on the upper branches, so he has to climb. The video feed follows him as he pulls himself up, using his new flight ability to reach high. He picks a blue apple, takes a bite and looks around. Nothing happends, so he takes a few more bites, eating half of the apple in an impressive speed. Still, nothing happens.]

Hey lady, you still there? How much do I have to wait before something shows up?

My owl was by my side quite quickly after eating the apple. Has something else appeared for you?

I don't see anything. No way the stupid crow is hiding, he wouldn't miss a chance to yell at me for disappearing... maybe this apple is just defective.

[He tries to pick another blue apple, but the damn thing wouldn't nudge no matter how hard he tugs at it. Eventually he yanks too hard and loses his balance on the branch, falling down until he remembers to activate his power again, stopping a feet above the ground. Then he looks right at the screen, sheepish.]

I meant to do that!

Oh! Are you alright?

[At his comment she quirks a brow but nods.]

Yes, of course. I'm sure you did.

I'm fine. Practice, that's what it was.

[Nothing is hurt but his dignity. He brushes a few leaves off his shoulder.]

Where do you file a complaint in this place? 'Cause I gotta tell you, I've only been here a few days and it's seriously lame.

Perhaps whatever is being given to you is merely taking some time, sire. There is no telling what will come.

["Sire"? Hamel puffs up a little. No one's ever called him sire, usually people just go with "you jerk".]

Maybe. Tell me if you see a crow around, will you. His name is Oboe and he has big dumb eyes and he can talk.
