They have some nice games here. Since everything here is pretty much provided for us, I've gotten a chance to relax away from dealing with work all the time in ways I never even dreamed of before. It's nice. I'm sure the gods thought of that and that's why they're doing this. But, uh, that isn't what I wanted to talk about. Well, it sort of is sort of isn't. I know not everyone is like me...

What I really wanted to ask about is the presence of a police force. I mean, everything seems pretty calm and peaceful now, but that's because we're all still getting our bearings. It's not like everyone brought here is going to be calm and peaceful all the time. So, I guess what I'm asking is if anyone had any thoughts about that?

And government, too, this place seems like it's just waiting to become a City-State or something along those lines. Maybe we should start looking at things more in the long-term, since we're all apparently stuck here for the rest of our lives. I mean, all right, maybe even if we ourselves have peace our whole lives, what about any children that are produced? And their children? We might want to look at setting something up for the future.

Hello, Adachi. A pleasure to meet you as well. My name is Yuri Petrov. I and some others have been working toward organizing a police force and a justice system.

If you're interested, the more citizens we can involve, the better.

I'm not so sure that a police force or an actual government would be necessary if there are gods presiding over this place. If something were to go against their wishes, couldn't they just intervene?

I'd be interested. I was a police detective back in my world, and my partner's here in the city as well. I can't speak for him, but I know I'd like to be involved in any way I can be.

That's one thought, yeah, but do we really want to rely on the gods for all those things? That seems like a lot of dependency, which is understandable at this point, but further on down the road? It's possible things may be problematic if the gods ever change their mind about us or decide they can't be bothered with dealing with any of that.

The gods, I thought. Well, the maid too. Supposedly there's no way to go back to where we're from, so that means we're going to have to look into building a civilization here.

Excellent. I was a judge in my world, and there are at least several others who worked for their respective justice systems in some capacity. What's your partner's name?

It strikes me as necessary to have some kind of security force, as the gods clearly want us to have experiences here, but don't currently seem to care whether they are positive or negative. I'd rather the citizens were protected.

We're still in the earliest stages of organizing, so any input you have would be invaluable.

Well, you certainly are correct to believe that gods are fickle creatures and they may get bored of us. Maybe drafting a code of conduct for the citizens here could be a good idea, but there are...many people here. It would probably take a fair amount of work implementing such a code. But I think for the time being, we can trust them to keep this place from getting to be too chaotic. Perhaps as long as we provide amusement in some form, we'll be okay.

But I see where are you're coming from, however. Especially since the most simple of people have been granted powers that make them somewhat extraordinary, a police force could always be useful.

I don't really have any reason to doubt it. If there's no way to get back, I don't want to spend my time foolishly denying that there's no way and ignore what's right in front of me in the process.

It sounds like we're on our way already, then. That's pretty good news.

My partner's name is Dojima. He's a part of Heimdall House, and he's got more experience in the field than I do. I think he'd be a great addition if we can get him on board, but, like I said, I can't make any promises on whether or not he'll readily agree and take up the cause.

I'd agree with what you say about our experiences. The gods themselves haven't really given us any more info than the simple "you're here now, make the best of it because we need you to"? It doesn't really strike me as anything too organized, and they seem to be pulling from all sorts of places. Who knows what sort of beings they'll bring in? It's best if we have some sort of defense against anything that threatens to break the peace.

Yeah, that's all I'm saying. It's not as though we have all that much reason to trust the gods to be on top of things, anyway.

I don't think we could get all the people here to agree on a form of government, but a police force would be a good idea on the long run.
