[The Doctor's here, once again with his trademark quote, but he doesn't look quite right. His face is a little thin, there are traces of dark circles under his eyes, and his mouth is pressed together in a line of stony silence. He is currently taking in the background of her surroundings in an attempt to work out her location, doing anything but talk to her at first. The shock's still a little thick. Finally, he says it.]

Rose.

Where are you?

[He's using one of his sharpest voices, not quite Dalek-scolding level but enough to get across that he is very, very bothered by something. Her long absence in this case.]

[It's almost as much of a relief to her as it is for him to hear his voice, to see his stupid face. And to her, the difference in his appearance, how he's changed since she'd last seen him... It's blindingly obvious. She's in Freya; her own room actually, if he's especially observant. But gods, how much of a relief it is to hear her name when it's not begging her to stay alive.]

[There's a quick nod at him as he takes off- and she's already waiting by the door when the first thump comes. It tugs open with a marginal amount of reasonability. Nothing too fast; she's still .. feeling a bit guilty. But she looks as healthy and pleasant as she had moments before the attack.]

[He waits one moment, then two...and then the dam snaps. He all but crushes her against his chest, but he's careful to hold back---they don't need a repeat crushing.]

I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry.

[Could he blame her? Sure. But he knows it was his job to be there, he knows that well.]
