[sophie almost never uses text on the network, but here you go, asgard.]

I am sure most have seen Norman's announcement that Conan has returned home. After a trip to the bank this evening, I have found that Dr. Watson and Superboy are gone as well. Their friends may wish to check at the bank. John, you especially may wish to do so. I doubt Watson would have entrusted the clinic to anyone else.

[ Three people she's noted the absence of. They probably meant something to her, then. He personally doesn't know what to feel because, well. He liked Watson, but the whole thing never exactly stopped being weird.

But he feels sad for her sake. ]

I don't think I would have either. I'll have a look.

[ He would give a heads-up, but he knows that Sophie wouldn't mind him showing up, which is why he goes to look for her. And, of course, he checks her flat first, gives the door a good, firm knock. ]

[she doesn't mind, no. she looks pretty calm when she answers the door, except for the way that she's obviously working to hold her face like that]

[the kettle is on the stove. they don't have a kitchen table, but on the livingroom floor in front of some pillows that were obviously being sat in are a t-shirt, a rather victorian at, and a very nice, wickedly sharp looking knife, all sitting in a neat little pile.

there is also a half-eaten banana on the kitchen counter]

[ He clasps his hands together as he steps inside, peering around curiously. ]

I see you're making it all cozy in here.

[there's the 'my dear' again. so still not quite the doctor. but close enough for her purposes at the moment]

Cozy does seem to be our priority.

[and as the kettle begins to whistle]

Tea? We've got some choices.

Oh god. You know, it's almost like he's still here a little if the hat's here. I'll get in touch with the other John and make sure he knows we're still available to the clinic. Wouldn't be right otherwise.

[And she got the feeling he was about as pragmatic as the other doctor was.]

Oh, yes, I'd love tea, thank you!

I will.

It's good. Nothing to complain about.

It is, rather. I am not sure why it came to me, but I am glad of it. I cannot see John changing what works. He was running the clinic in Watson's previous absence, I think he was satisfied with us.

I think he actually liked you a bit. You two seemed to get along pretty well.

And yeah, I figured as much. It's still good to go through the formalities and make sure he knows for a fact that we'll keep things up on our end.

( ah. now, that she is sad to see. because if John Watson is gone (or at least, the one she had met), then that meant ... yes. Sherlock Holmes had returned home as well. )

He may be happy at home. He was just married, as far as I knew.

( on the other hand, Sherlock Holmes owed her a date. she'd been stood up. how rude. )

Just married. I am sure he is happy at home. It seems his Sherlock went as well.

I assume so, considering the hat. He may have just liked my scones.

[yes, she is kidding, although that doesn't translate well over text]

[she has a whole selection in the cupboard, which she leads him over to so he can pick what he likes]

[Well enough. She's laughing, even if she's very frustrated. John was one of the first to give her a real chance after her first episode.]

Heh. They are good scones.

Give me a buzz if you need anything in the meantime. Things are going calm enough right now that I'm doing this whole cooking competition. Any new orders, let me know and I'll make sure to pop in to fill them.

I am glad. I have scones for you, actually. I will drop them by in the morning.

There's a clinic?

There is. And a hospital too.

[after a short pause, martha's bracelet pulls up the city map, with both the clinic and the hospital marked on it]

Do you practice medicine?

[sophie feels sam's frustration, man. this was three people at once for her, one of them her first friend in asgard]

Let me know when you will be by and I will bring some in. The shop has been quiet, only stock and regular orders. I will let you know if anything new comes in. Dare I ask what you are cooking? Or is it a secret?

'His' Sherlock?

There were two John Watsons, and two Sherlock Holmeses. They are similar in some ways, but not the same. Watson and his Holmes are gone, John and his Sherlock are not.

Ah. Well, the Holmes who left stood me up on a date. I can't say I'm sorry to see him go; I'm not accustomed to being stood up.
