I've been thinking about this quite a bit, and I thought, since it's so difficult to tell what day it is because the calendar here is different! Well, because of that, that means you can't have a birthday party! [Horror of horrors!] So I've devised the absolutely perfectly answer to this!

Unbirthday parties! [Yes, people, for Alice this is a thing.] Now! Unbirthday parties are held on every day your birthday isn't! But since we can no longer tell, I think people should pick a day they wish to have their unbirthday and that can be their unbirthday so long as they're in Asgard! [She shifts her rabbit from one arm to the other.]

Would anyone else like to celebrate an unbirthday! Because I've the perfect idea for one!

A tea party! There's a distinct lack of those here, and that simply shan't do! So I would like to hold one near the field of flowers! An outdoor tea party sounds rather lovely, wouldn't you agree?

Not a birthday party, an unbirthday party. They're two completely different things entirely. And biscuits would be lovely, sir! Would you wish to attend?

Well I don't see why it should much matter, Miss Bella! If you want your unbirthday to be any day, that's your day to choose, after all! What happens in Asgard is very different than home, after all. For all I know, I've already turned eight! I don't think I have, of course, but this is such a funny calendar!

But if every day is an unbirthday, wouldn't designating a particular day for an unbirthday essentially make it the very thing it isn't? That is to say, it would become a day that is traditionally celebrated once a year, such as a birthday.

[For every idea that's ever been thought about "quite a bit," Edward will find a way to think about it even more. Whether it's a productive pastime remains to be seen, 100+ years later.]

My birthday's not for another three or so months. Almost there. I reckon I can wait.

A tea party by the flowers would be really nice. [If 'unbirthdays' are an excuse to have more tea then Euri is all for it.]

What if you don't have a birthday in the first place? And aren't unbirthdays everyday that isn't your birthday?

An outdoor tea party does sound wonderful though.

But it isn't. Or well, not really, sir. You see, months go by differently here in Asgard than they do back home... unless you've a different calendar entirely. But what things certainly aren't, is the same. [Alice paused at that sentence, not entirely sure it was clear.]

What I mean to say is that your birthday isn't in three or so months because months are different.

No, most certainly not, Mr. Edward. Because an unbirthday is still not your actual birthday. You could choose any unbirthday to be your special unbirthday but it still isn't your actual birthday. And no one said that you couldn't celebrate the other unbirthdays. No one is saying anything of the sort, one special unbirthday doesn't mean you can celebrate the others.

Oh yes! Lots and lots of tea, Miss Euri! It's going to be quite a few people coming!

Oh! Yes of course you can come! That's the entire point is that anyone can celebrate an unbirthday! And you're more than welcome to come to the tea party if you would like!

[ Damon can't remember the last time he celebrated his birthday. Probably back in the 80's. He certainly didn't bother to celebrate back in the 1800s what with being a newbie vampire and all that. Besides -- what was the point? He was miserable then. He's still miserable now, but he won't say no to a party. He likes having fun. ]
