Now how the hell did I get so lucky to be by myself for several months only to have some of the people I like the least appear? I highly doubt this is the place to put aside our differences. Tell me it isn't just me that the gods are targeting this time.

I suppose there will never be a day where I approach the rest of you with a set of questions. Here's your selection for the day:

1.) Hypothetically, if one were to obtain a music player, what sort of music should one put on it?

2.) Not-so-hypothetically, I'm taking my next round of challenges. What sort of potions would you find the most useful in the city? [Not to mention he's working on some of his "special projects"…]

3.) Also hypothetically, if one were looking for new books to read, what sort of books should one locate in the library?

[Someone is a bit stircrazy thanks to winter just now going away, and he's also avoiding the entirety of the the sea mission to obtain information. He's assuming he's being dragged along, but that doesn't mean he has to focus solely on that.

What the hell is folk anyway?

Right. You know what we need then is to get someone very, very drunk and use them as a test subject. I have a few drafts laid out but I need to brew them to test them. Remind me to show you my notes later.

I don't know. It's kind of like music I'm used to from back home, but it's by humans so it's obviously not as good.

You can't prove anything. I hardly whine at all. I'm the least whiny of whiners.

Well no, but I don't have to read any to know I don't like it.

It depends on what you enjoy. My taste is more of classical music, such as Beethoven, Mozart, back, Pachelbel.

As for books, I have found astronomy a rather interesting topic.

I grew up with classical, actually. At home. [Because of Narcissa really, and honestly, Muggles can't believe all of the great musicians were purely Muggle, right?] I suppose I'm looking for something a little different than that, but it couldn't hurt. Hypothetically.

Funny you should say that. [Seeing how he also grew up studying astronomy. Everything is Narcissa's fault really.] Does the library have any more books on the subject? I found about three and realized they got most of the facts incorrect.

[ he thinks for a moment ] I'm fond of instrumental and A cappella. I admit I don't know much regarding other genres, but I was told "pop" is very popular.

If you're unable to put aside your differences in order to save countless worlds, including your own, I don't know that you'd ever be able to do it, regardless of location.

1) Do you not have any preferences of your own?

2) Potions? Are you talking about medicinal ones?

I'll explore it as a possibility to see if it's worth pursuing.

Because they are incorrect. The stars are off and suddenly planets don't exist.

Many of these books are about planets different than our own. It's only natural that other worlds have other planets and stars in the night skies.

[Hmm...give him a second to go ahead and filter this. Knowing Hermione she'll be nosy and spying on him anyway.]

I just find it to be a useless effort so long as I've other people here that aren't from my home world and don't drive me completely mental. What difference would it make anyhow? 1.) My preferences tend to lean toward classical thanks to my mother. Looking for either classical that hasn't been heard, or something in the complete opposite direction. 2.) Something of the sort. Potions I created at home weren't always used just for healing. My business partner and I have created a line of potions that have various effects. If you haven't heard, we sell sleeping potions in the city. 3.) No. Though I will disagree with any suggestion of romance novels.

The fact that there are various versions of earth still perturbs me.

I can too! In fact, I can do it right now.

Okay, so you're whiny and picky. Let me lend you something.

[Oops, he should have thought about that, considering he could see that part was filtered. How uncharacteristically careless of him.]

My apologies for the lapse in discretion.

What difference would getting along make? Well, this place is large enough that you could feasibly avoid someone, or at least ignore them, but we're all working towards the same goal - supposedly. So in the interests of that goal, should we ever need to join forces, the hope would be that differences could be put aside in order for everyone to reach it. The people you tolerate from other worlds might not thank you to hold onto grudges with the people from your own world, should those grudges get in the way. Correct me if I'm wrong.

1) Classical music that's survived the centuries tends to be what's been heard, and for good reason. I don't know that you'd be able to get your hands on any of the more obscure compositions here. If you happen to have a piano, I'd be more than happy to play the pieces I know for you, if you'd be interested.

2) If not healing then... Poison? No, I hadn't heard, though I am intrigued, in spite of myself. I have frequent bouts of insomnia here that I'd rather be without. What's the name of the establishment?

3) That's a shame. Those are among the best of the classics.

Some of the people? And actually, it's probably the best time. You're all on the same side of this war.

Those are some pretty boring questions, but I think I may look through the suggestions that you get about music.

What people? How many people?

I don't really ask interesting questions to the mass public. They generally don't deserve it...but get me suggestions when you can.

What people are here that you dislike then?

Some. It'd only be worse if Potter had turned up as well. [Or the Dark Lord himself, either way.] It doesn't matter, there are always wars within wars.

Not a problem. Supposedly is the key word here. Nothing says that these people and I will ever agree on how to reach the goal and what steps to take to reach it. I'd rather not waste my time arguing with them about a useless point when I can work with other people that actually know what they're doing to get things down for the city. The people from my world always seem to somehow have a lapse in planning things out. 1.) ...you play. I could probably find one here at least for a bit of example. 2.) Poison, antidotes, potions that makes smoke come out of the drinker's ears just because, things such as that. Euri and I work at Asclepius. We've been established for a few months now and have the formula perfected both in liquid and charm form. I've had Euri act as a test subject, we keep making it a tiny bit stronger with each revised version of the formula for dreamless, peaceful sleep. A handful of nights per dose. 3.) You're the second one to try and convince me. Why romance?

Some is a change. Who's Potter? And it does matter, unless they're completely stupid.

I was asking, not judging. You don't really think I do everything from pure altruism, do you?
