[Thorin makes an imposing sight, even through the network, with his mouth set in a grim line and his eyes dancing with a bitter humor. He stares the viewer down like he's ready and set to have it out with anyone watching.]

[Not that he has even the slightest clue if the man in question is here or not--he simply assumes that he must be. If anyone knows what's happening here, then surely, it muse be the wizard. His expression grows even more stern, if possible.]

Well, I'm not sure what scribblings you mean.

But a bit of gossip over ale, that does a man well. Fun as I'm sure it is to try the bars for yourself, these things go more smoothly when you get friendly with everyone looking to break out with you. Keeps things from getting boring.

Those scribblings might be more helpful than you give them credit for.

Join the club and take a number. Maybe in a thousand years the so-called gods will get around to granting that wish. Until then, maybe you should start getting used to the insults- they're not likely to stop any time soon.
