[Good day Asgard. I hope it has been well, because if you're seeing this message, chances are it's not going to get better. Not if Jo's current state of really freaking pissed off spreads any. Which, really, she doesn't have a lot of reasons to be so angry. It's more of one thing happened, and from then on even the smallest things continued to worsen her mood, until she's just this little ball of 'I am going to kill everything'.

Perfect time to address the network, right?]

For one, I did not take off my freaking bracelet. So don't even say it. I'm not stupid. I know what happens. And I didn't lose it either, so don't even try with that-

[Jo shakes her head, pausing a moment because the movement doesn't help a whole hell of a lot with her gigantic headache. Ugh. First time going grey? I think so.]

Two - I'm going to assume that the Roadhouse wasn't robbed, and that Ash was dumb and did something equally dumb like offerred a lot of free stuff. Which, I'd like to clear up by saying, [Oh hey Glare of Death directed toward Ash.] that is never happening again.

So yeah, that free alcohol thing? Not actually a thing. You wanna come back you're gonna pay for it, if I even manage to restock this place... [She takes a moment to sigh and massage the bridge of her nose. Ugh. Of all the things to worry about, why does it have to be this.]

Nothing big happened while I was gone, right? No 'off to fight the giants' or huge flying dragons dropping death and destruction on the city? [That should have been titled a 'three', but Jo doesn't really care. She's absolute exhausted, still trying to regain her color and feeling and just. Everything she never wanted to lose in the first place. There's also something else there, something slightly haunting - a loss of something else she didn't think she'd have to worry about, but she's not about to address the network with it. Not now.

She's got herself under a little more control than that.]

Guess that's that. [And off goes the feed.]

What the hell is going on? Where is everyone? [This is where the real exhaustion comes in. The exhaustion, and the panic, because she checked the bracelet when she woke up and the fact that these two names were the only ones she found...yeah, panic is definitely the right word.] You are here, right? The bracelet isn't lying to me?

[Because she can't really deal with them being gone too. Gone, or grey, or whatever. She needs to see them and it needs to be soon. She's already desperately grasping at straws at this point, with the loss of what feels like everyone...well. It's not like any of them need help when it comes to losing their mind in a place like this.]

[ Ah, well, that's life. You win some free tavern nights and you lose some. ]

I'll be happy to make efforts towards repayment and restocking, milady. In cases such as these, I prefer not to leave a debt built up. [ Cases such as pretty ladies and being honourable and all that, you know how it is. ]

[Milady. Jo narrows her eyes a little.]

You're one of Arthur's knights that just showed up, aren't you?

[Which technically means she's already promised you free alcohol for life. Technically. But she hasn't made the official meeting so she can deny that much for now. Who is Jo Harvelle if she's going to turn down some free labor?]

I could come up with some work for you to do, for sure. [Even if...Jo looks around. The Roadhouse is fairly clean, and it's going to take a few days for the new shipments to come in from Utgard. She turns back to the feed.] It won't be for a few days, though, but I'll need someone to pick up the boxes of drinks when they come in.

Name's Gwaine. [ Man, seems like all the ladies in these parts know knights when they see them. Makes things interesting. If a little less fun at the same time, somehow. ]

He wasn't joking when he said he'd be warning the taverns, then. [ Can't... deny his taste for being out, but. ] You'll be happy to know that out of business isn't anywhere on my list of accomplishments.

[His customary "you're back!" greeting kind of get pushed aside in the face of Jo's text.]

You automatically think of me when your place has been cleaned up? Not sure if I should be flattered or not.

Yeah. Thanks, by the way, but you really shouldn't have. I would have preferred to have a reason to strange Ash.

[She breaks out into a grin at that, shaking her head.]

It's fine. I've seen worse. [Castiel. But that hurts to think about so ignoring.] I just prefer to actually see a man drink my place dry before he does it. So I'll have to be around next time.

[ angel's still not good at this whole "social interaction" stuff, so using the network is always a somewhat harrowing prospect. all the same, he'll give it a shot. ]

[ no one ever said it'd be a particularly good shot. ]

Ah. I did take Ash... Um. Doctor Badass. Up on his offer. I'll be happy to pay for the drinks I had. I didn't realize there was a problem. I apologize.

Next time I'm in and it's not for business purposes, I'll ask after you specifically. [ No he really will. ]

Ash. Yeah. [But then Jo shakes her head.] I'm not gonna make y'all do that if it was Ash's fault. Just come back and pay for a drink another time, it's fine.

I'm glad we got that established.

[ cue long silence as he has no idea what to say. ]

[ that could be useful to know somewhere down the road. ]

[Oh geez. But Jo nods.]

Traveler-run and owned, by me. And a certain good for nothing genius [She hopes you hear this Ash!!!!], but he just gives out my alcohol for free so he doesn't count.

[Nose scrunch, but right. Back to business.]

Thor district, open most days and nights. [Nevermind the fact she'll probably live here from now on. Going back home to an almost empty house isn't really on her top list of things to do.]

[ a part of him regrets that he missed the whole "free alcohol" period, but alas... he'll just have to do without it. ]

He sounds like a real handful.

[ he'd question why she'd keep a guy like that around... but he sort of understands. his own employees hadn't always been the most useful, but they'd come to form some sort of quasi-family anyway. ]

Thor, huh? I'll have to drop by sometime then... that's where I'm staying. [ ...knowing what he does of his district, it does seem a little fitting that there'd be a bar there. ]

Yeah? Thor's probably one of the better districts. The god himself has something of an ego, but eh. All the best people live in Thor. [Like this one here. Nevermind she's originally from Heimdall, but her home is here. Her extended family.]

From what I've seen, gods always do.

[ not that he's really met many gods... but those he has have always been a handful. and trouble. well, mostly just trouble. he hasn't really decided what to make of the asgardian gods just yet, but they didn't score many points by bringing him here. ]

But from what I've seen so far this place isn't bad. A lot of sun. [ ...which is usually a bad thing for him, but he finds himself enjoying it quite a bit lately. ]

A few days ago. I'm still... adjusting.

[Cause yeah, you can't make a comment like that and not back it up. Jo will find you. Mostly because she didn't deal with a lot of the pagan gods back home. Just heard stories about nearly being eaten alive and having to find that really rare type of wood to make a stake.

Rough stuff, killing gods.

But hey man, not all of these gods are half bad. Not that Jo's talked to many of them, but she can't really complain. They did bring her back from the dead, after all.]

The weather does change, and it can be fairly shitty. But hey, we're in some magical land of norse gods and magic and the weather is all I've got to complain about? [Except that's not true at all, there's plenty to complain about. More than plenty.] I would consider that a pretty good day.

Ah, yeah. It takes a good week, maybe two depending on your levels of supernatural interaction back home. The whole 'denial' thing gets old fast.

A few. We didn't get along very well.

[ well... mostly just one, who was on the verge of subjecting the entire world in some sort of free will stealing hypnotic trance until he managed to stop her. but he doesn't like to talk about that.

as for the rest... well, they really aren't on talking terms anymore. ]

though... "levels of supernatural interaction," huh? he has to think about that for a moment. even being modest, he has to admit his threshold is probably a bit high by now. if anything, his biggest disappointment about this place so far was that it wasn't as bizarre and dangerous as other hell dimension she'd come across.

I think I'm coming along pretty fast. [ his problem is really the opposite... getting used the more normal aspects of this place. ] What about you? You see a lot of the supernatural back home?

Good for you. [The worst part is that getting used to the downtime was sometimes the hardest part. Look at Jo, she started up a freaking business because she had nothing else better to do. Just an example.]

A fair bit, I'd say. More second-hand accounts than anything. [Which...isn't technically a lie.] But I wasn't as unprepared as a lot of people.

I wasn't fucking here before, but I'll be glad to come over and have a beer or two and fill up your coffers.

We don't discriminate newbies from the rest of us as long as you're a paying customer. Only have a couple of beers hanging around, though, so you might need to wait till next week for me to get a new shipment in.

That's... good. [ if nothing else, she seems to adjusted quite well after her time here. it's actually a little surprising just how well so many people seem to have accepted being pulled into an alternate dimension by gods to save their world, but he supposes they've simply had no other choice but to accept it. ]
